"1) When making our reservation, they inquired if we were celebrating a special occasion (an anniversary, in our case), but sadly, no mention of this was made throughout our meal, which was a bit disappointing. 2) The ambiance does not align with the menu and pricing. Entering the restaurant felt like we were sneaking in through a back door, navigating a cramped space by the bar. Paper tablecloths? I half expected crayons to be provided. The cheap-looking lights, seemingly sourced from Amazon, served as the centerpiece on our table. The noise level was so high in the dining room that my wife and I struggled to hear each other. Although most guests were dressed appropriately, it was odd to have a fellow diner at the next table wearing a baseball cap. Our server was young and inexperienced; after delivering our drinks, he disappeared for 8-10 minutes and did little to enhance our dining experience—he was merely an order taker. By far, the atmosphere was the most disappointing aspect of the evening. 3) The food was decent. My wife and I ordered a multi-course meal and sampled various dishes, but unfortunately, all of my selections were overly salted. On a positive note, the after-dinner cappuccinos were excellent. Bari comes off as trying to be an upscale restaurant. They impose two-hour time slots for reservations and charge for no-shows. They offer an extensive Italian wine list, mostly available by the bottle, along with a separate cheese menu. It’s clear they have invested significant effort into their food and beverage offerings and aspire to be a high-end establishment, yet the overall dining experience does not reflect this. We had been eager to try Bari for several months, given its high ratings and recommendations from various sources. However, I can’t say the experience was worth it. At $100 per person, there are fundamental expectations that go beyond just the food in a restaurant. Unfortunately, several recent reviews echo a similar sentiment."

The meal is a good value for the price. Unfortunately, the pasta wasn't cooked to al dente, but the sauce and the rest of the dish were quite enjoyable.

The food was perfectly prepared and tasted incredible. I highly recommend dining here. The atmosphere is pleasant, although it can be a bit noisy. Food: 5/5

We really enjoyed the service at our table, but unfortunately, the other staff members were quite rude to us and ignored our attempts at Deaf communication. The food, however, was fantastic! Thank you. Food rating: 5/5.

The food was outstanding, particularly the carbonara, which I highly recommend. By 6:00 PM, the bar became quite busy, and it tends to get very loud, making it difficult to talk to the bartender. Some soundproofing would really help improve the situation. Overall, it has a nice atmosphere and offers excellent cuisine. Just so you know, there are no TVs in the bar. View menu

The restaurant has a policy of charging $25 per person for no-show reservations. The menu is complicated and hard to navigate, almost requiring a master's degree in Italian just to place an order. The cheese and meat appetizer is priced a la carte, costing $7-8 for each selection. The bread serving was minimal and the type of bread was unclear. The menu is poorly organized and presented on sheets of paper. To make matters worse, there was no Chianti available, and tiramisu was off the menu in an Italian restaurant. While the food was good, the selections were limited and prices were inflated.

I highly recommend making a reservation. We were fortunate enough to get a seat at the bar, where our bartender also served us. He was incredibly patient as he assisted us in choosing a cheese to pair with our appetizer. We tried the zucchini fritters with goat cheese, which were delicious. For our main courses, I ordered the pasta carbonara, while my spouse went for the roasted tomato orzo with crab meat. We finished with strawberry gelato for dessert. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Just a heads up: the servings are small plates and everything is served individually. It’s a fantastic spot for celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion.

Not a great atmosphere but good food. There’s a green octopus tentacle on the west wall that feels like your are in a daycare and a weird, tacky green curtain thing on the strange kitchen entrance. Touch lamps instead of candle light and uncomfortable cafeteria type chairs. Service is slow and inattentive with phrases like, “we take the whole order at once bc we r full and prepare everything to order.” They weren’t close to being full and no they don’t. Calamari app was good but salty. Zucchini app is good but small. Muscle app was fantastic and enough for 4. Cheese choices were delish but less than 1 ounce for 4 ppl. Meat choices were very generous. Bread service is embarrassing w a 2 inch... View menu

To start, we ordered the semolina-crusted fried seafood bowl as an appetizer. It included calamari, anchovies, and some additional seafood (but no shrimp). Everything was perfectly seasoned, coated in semolina, and deep-fried, leaving a delightful lemony aftertaste. It was simply superb! We paired our appetizer with some Italian club soda and a refreshing non-alcoholic drink called "Honey," which complemented the fried seafood wonderfully. I would highly recommend this combo. For the main course, my friend ordered orzo, while I chose Atlantic prawns served in a garlicky wine reduction broth. The aroma was amazing, and the taste lived up to it! They also boast an excellent wine selection, so...

"Quality not what it used to be. A year ago or so I wrote a reviewing liking this location. We got our usual to go this time (much like other times) and when my husband got home I was incredibly dissapointed. He said they were busy and looked disarrayed but it doesn't give them an excuse for giving us ****. The bartender ignored my husband when he tried to tell them he was there to pick up and saw the order come out and only after our order was sitting there for a while did he finally ask what he was there for. Now that's whatever as long as this pregnant lady gets her food. I eagerly open the box and what do I find? A few sweet potato fries, the avocado smothered on the burger soaking the bun, and no pickle. The bun was falling apart as soon as I tried to pick it up so I ate it with a fork and knife. Even the sauce cup barely had any sauce but enough I guess for the meager portion of fries I got! This makes me sad as we're regulars. That will no longer be true.<br/ <br/ <br/ 01 Aug, 2014 <br/ <br/ West coast burger sweet potato fries. I have gotten the west coast burger and sweet potato fries every single time I've gone there and my boyfriend has now copied my choice. I'm sure the other burgers are good too but if I have a craving for Huey's, that's what I get. Their onion rings are also good and huge but they are the type that the onion slips straight out of the breading. The lemon box cake thing made me very happy. If you want to go to any Huey's, the midtown location is the one to go to! Don't go to the downtown site. They were really rude both times we stopped by to get a to go order when we were on our bikes."
