"I've heard tales about the generous portions of meat in their sandwiches, and they certainly lived up to the hype. The bread was perfectly toasted, although it was a bit on the dry side, it was still very flavorful. The price is a bit high for a large sandwich, chips, and a drink—around $20—but the quality and quantity made it a bit easier to swallow. Despite how busy the place was, my sandwich arrived in a timely manner. I ordered mine hot, and it was just right. The atmosphere is also great for enjoying a beer. I will definitely be back!"

I really enjoyed the Beach Bikini sandwich and I wish they had this deli in Illinois! The Big Sur sandwich was also delicious.

Awesome sandwich joint on a weird corner of Davis. The atmosphere was unique and the staff were very happy. I got the La Jolla sandwich and it was stacked with avocado. Will definitely return

This is undoubtedly my favorite sandwich shop in the world. Every time I visit, I order the Surfin Bird and swap out the cream cheese for provolone. Honestly, this was my first beach hut sandwich in three years, and it was just as incredible as I remembered. If you find yourself in Sacramento or Davis, make sure to stop by Beach Hut—you won't regret it!

I've seen a photo of their sandwich on a billboard on i80 west for months coming through Davis. My sin finally bought one and said, Dad you need to try it! So I did, the pastrami with cheddar and I LOVE it. Best sandwich I've ever had and the bread is super soft. Try it with a side of their special Italian dressing, so so good! And you can even enjoy a beer with it. View menu

I requested no onions and there were still onions on my sandwich. Given the fact that I’m basically directly telling the person making my sandwich my order, I don’t see how you can make that mistake. I ate half of my sandwich and it was pretty good except that the peppers weren’t great. Once I got to the other half, I found a hair. I don’t appreciate spending $50 on two meals to be this unsatisfied.

Beach Hut Deli in Davis is truly a gem. It's easily the best sandwich place we've discovered in our university city. The balance of meat to bread is just right. All of our sandwiches, served on French rolls, were generous in size, incredibly fresh, and of excellent quality. It's a fantastic value for the price. The atmosphere is clean and tastefully designed with a Tiki Bar theme. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly talented at crafting delicious sandwiches. This has quickly become our new favorite deli.

"I had this place bookmarked. And I was passing through Davis so I thought I would stop by. They also have a couple locations in the bay area, way closer to me. First off, they don't have a large sign above their shop nor are they listed on the sign for the shopping plaza they're located on. So I questioned if I was at the right place. And I circled around the parking lot looking for it before I just parked and searched for it. Not even a sign with their name on the window or door. Seems like they could put some kind of sign. I walked in and it wasn't very busy. One couple sat inside and there was plenty of seating. There was a little kiosk for self ordering. So I went for that. I just went simple and got the mango green tea. It's a $4.50 drink, added 50 cents for boba/topping. When I paid, it was almost $7. They ended up adding tax and a tip. The tip was added without me knowing. Maybe I clicked through too quickly, but it wasn't obvious. Usually there's an entire screen devoted to tipping with different percentages. But I did not see one. Crazy. I ordered through a kiosk and while they did make my drink, I think it's a little shady to add a tip automatically. The drink was fine. Nothing too amazing but good. Boba was also cooked well too. Was just annoyed by the payment process. They are also known for their desserts like shaved ice so I'll have to try those, maybe at a different location, paying super close attention when I pay."
