"My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant several times and have always been pleased. They have a really nice wine by-the-glass menu with good selections and reasonable prices. On my last visit I tried the Muffuletta sandwich and it was excellent. I had been on the hunt for years to find a Muffuletta that ranks up there with one I had numerous times at an un-named grocery store on Decatur Street in NOLA. My wife swears by the fried chicken at Bernie's. When I have friends visit from Louisiana I love to take them to this restaurant and joke that this is what Southern food should taste like when you have access to fresh NW meat and produce. And the outdoor patio is very nice too!"

I visited Bernie several times over the years and was never disappointed by my food or experience!! The cocktails are great, the food is always delicious and! If you did not have the opportunity to experience Bernie, my advice is to get there as soon as possible!

Blew. My. Mind. Fried chicken with collard greens, grilled shrimp with grits, savory bread pudding, fried Brussels sprouts. Sounds simple, but getting it perfect is hard. It's all about the subtlety.
