"It is one of the best services I have received at a restaurant in a while. I have to give a shout-out to Jay. He had the best personality, very upbeat and stopping at all his tables making sure everything was good. We came in last week on a busy Saturday. Jay just came onto his shift by the bar area. He was totally cool and immediately took our order. I asked him to bring the food out in course to give us a chance to enjoy it. He totally understood and did exactly what was asked. He made several exceptional recommendations. One of my favorites was the raw tuna tacos. Absolutely knocked it out! You get plenty of the price. Each course came out nice and hot with zero compliments. The restaurant was completely packed and still almost no wait time. The bar area has a fully stocked bar with 1 jumbo TV in the middle that can be seen from the back of the restaurant and 2 smaller side ones. They have weekly specials for each day of the week. So no matter which day you go in, ask about the special. The restaurant also has a big outdoor patio seating area with heaters as well. Also, the outdoor has 2 giant TVs. I asked to speak with the manager to make sure he knows what an exceptional employee BJ's had working for them."

One of the most atrocious places i’ve ever dinned in. The hospitality made me uncomfortable. Notice from the image i received no patty on my burger. Never going back there again!

Service is horrible, it takes forever to even find my server let alone be checked up on. Food is average and the ambiance is fine. Servers please make sure to greet your guests sooner!

Service is kinda slow despite not really a busy day with few customers. But maybe it’s because they put a lot of effort in making the salad? Grilled ahi tuna chicken. Guess it’s worth the wait View menu

We had dinner at your Glendale, CA location last night and it was delicious. But as good as the dinner was, we were very impressed with our server, Jonathan. He was quick, efficient and especially friendly. We'll definitely be going back.

We went for pizza and we’re happily surprised all pizza was half off on Mondays. Our pizza was tavern cut, so more like a cracker with toppings. It was delicious but I definitely would’ve been disappointed have I had to pay the full $20 price point. The sliders and the fries were good as well, and it looked like they had just taken one big beef patty and cut it into four pieces. It was thick and well seasoned though. There was no sauce, so I did have to ask for some mayonnaise on the side. The fries were standard. I also ordered a frozen berry colada. It doesn’t have alcohol in it, but it is a slushy like consistency. It was extremely sweet. Our total came to 30 bucks, which wasn’t bad for a...

"Akkad is only one of a few Iraqi restaurants by name, if not the only one in Los Angeles, with authentic dishes that rival the nearest enclave of Iraqi restaurants in San Diego. You'll find their parking lot in this strip mall to fit the bill for most days, and their hours to be a bit constraining. Most people seem to get their items to go, and they remain busy with mostly to go orders. You will find that they have great traditional eats like luleh (koobideh) kabob, kibbeh of all kinds, lamb quzi, foul, falafel or shawarma. I personally recommend trying a kibbeh whether the hamood one in tomato sauce (it is a special on Fridays) or the Lebanese one in yogurt sauce. Both are fantastic, although they personally don't hit as well as ones I have tried before. I would say it is about 75% there in terms of the flavor profile I was hoping for. If you come early enough and eat there, you will get some fresh Iraqi flatbread which is fantastic with a soup (like an okra stew) or with anything of the sort. Even on its own, it is nice to have such a warm served up bread that is made without preservatives. Most say this is the highlight. I think this is icing on the cake. I would say the service was quite terrible when I was here, and the wait staff didn't care to explain anything nor check on my experience. I would say this isn't the kind of place where you get good service. Rather, you just order the food and wait for it to come, and flag down the wait staff if you need anything. I would also add that the food wasn't as tasty as other Iraqi food places I have tried, but as the only real Iraqi food option in LA, I would go out of my way to support this place. I have had friends come here and enjoy the food, and the majority of reviewers seem to follow suit."
