"I took our son and his friend to Blu Seafood. Our waiter, James, was incredibly attentive and made our experience memorable. For an appetizer, I had the crab mac and cheese, which was the best I've ever tasted. At our table, we ordered salmon, NC trout, and steak. The salmon was delicious, but despite coming from Seattle, it didn't quite blow us away. The NC trout was a bit disappointing. However, the steak was succulent and cooked to perfection. In total, including dessert and a cocktail, our bill was $160. I would rate it as an $80 meal. It was a lovely evening, but I don't feel the need to rush back."

I ordered the special. The kitchen changed it without telling me or our waiter. Lemon caper sauce thrown together. Could have been much better. Wife's piece of fish slightly overcooked and quite small for price.

Great food and service! the backroom could stand a nicer, cozier feel, but it is ok. Not sure why this place is not more popular the food is great and good selection of fresh seafood. Location off 9th street is great too with ample parking in front and at lots around the block.

We’ve enjoyed Blu in the past but this time the experience was only fair. It’s been about 6-9 months or so since we’ve eaten at Blu. The food just did not impress and was so-so. We’ve gone to St James Seafood several times in the past 6-9 months and were very impressed. We’ll give Blu another shot but not sure it can top St James. View menu

It has been a while since I dined at Blu, and I'm glad I returned. The food was both delicious and exceptional. While the menu was somewhat limited, everything sounded appealing, and the wine selection, although not extensive, featured excellent choices. I had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed my meal, so I will definitely be back.

The service was excellent, however two out of four of our dishes (two couples) were good the other two were not. The ambience is yard sale decor, very tacky. Noise level is high though the restaurant was not full. Blu Seafood and Bar advertise 1/2 price on selected wines on Wednesdays, so we went on Wednesday only to find that this offer is ended though the website is not update. We did get our bottles for 1/2 price. but the wine selection was so slim it wasn't worth it. I have never seen such a short wine list. I will not return to Blu again.
