"I frequent this place to catch up with friends and to eavesdrop on first dates that start on Tinder. Here are some snippets I've heard: Someone mentioned that Jack Kerouac is a genius—definitely not the best move for a date, as it comes off as pretentious while showcasing a limited understanding of literature. When asked about drink preferences, someone inquired whether the other person favored wine or spirits—my advice? Just wait for her to order; you'll find out soon enough. Oh, and if you lean more towards liberal views, keep in mind that it's Brooklyn, so that's a given. The first-date atmosphere is amusing to observe. Just a heads-up: avoid bringing a vegan here, as they serve a rabbit pot pie!"

This is a perfect first date spot. Low lighting, plenty of space and really good cocktails. Rob the bartender is a superstar. We had a great time.

It's a hidden gem in the neighborhood, and finding a place like this in NYC is a rarity. The cocktails are amazing, the service is excellent, and the food is fantastic. I give it a perfect 10/10! View menu

Blueprint is reliably fantastic. The drinks are always delicious, both their specialized seasonal menu and their classics (best Espresso Martini anywhere! Don't sleep on the food I dream of their wedge salad. Really sweet and friendly servers and bartenders. 10/10, no notes.

Fantastic cocktails, favorite is the vieux carre. Service is very attentive and quick. Does get very busy, but not packed; usually seating service only. Great setting for a date. They 're really great at what they do, which is a nice cocktail bar, without the gimmicks or pretences of some of the speakeasies you can find. Still the best in the area.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for happy hour on a Friday night, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a fancy yet relaxed atmosphere. The bartender crafted a delicious Black Manhattan for me, which wasn’t even on the menu, and it was absolutely delightful. I also enjoyed a fantastic hot toddy. This place has quickly become my new favorite bar! View menu

This is a genuine cocktail bar. The menu features a variety of fantastic selections that you won't find elsewhere. Each cocktail is crafted with expertise and is perfectly balanced, making it well worth a visit. However, the place was very crowded on a Thursday night, leading to slow service. It's evident that their setup and staff aren't equipped to handle such a large crowd at once. The food, in particular, took a long time to arrive. Additionally, this establishment feels more like a cocktail bar than a restaurant.

Since last summer, I had been eager to visit this bar, and I finally had the opportunity this weekend. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The customer service was excellent, and the staff was attentive to all our needs. I ordered three drinks: Say No To This, Parks Leisure, and a Bourbon with Coke. All three drinks were well-crafted and flavorful. While I didn't particularly enjoy the Say No To This, it may appeal to others. The bar features a nice atmosphere and a friendly vibe. I would definitely return to try out more of the food and drink offerings.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
