We were told we had to wait for a group of twelve to finish paying before we could be seated. This was incredibly rude! It seemed like they didn't want our business at all.

Waited to be seated for well over 15 minutes. The waitress didn't even acknowledge my family. We were never seated despite the restaurant not even half full. Service and first impressions are everything. We won't waste our time ever going back or telling others about the place.

I politely asked her how much the coffee cost, and surprisingly, the owner told me to wait in line at the cash register behind four other customers. I have never had coffee in my life, so I left $2 on the table. The owner then ran out after me, yelling that the coffee was more than $2. She eventually caught up with my mom, who walks slowly due to recent knee surgery. My mom ended up giving her $5 because the owner was shouting as if we had stolen from her. I found it completely inappropriate for the owner to chase after an older woman to demand money. It was embarrassing for all involved, and losing customers over a mere $5 just isn’t worth it. Where to begin. We try to support local business, but no one makes it as hard as the Corner Cafe. We’ve only come back so many times because, well, there’s not many choices in town. Staff complains about having customers, acts like they don’t even want you there. Management complains loudly about their low pay, but does nothing to bring in or keep more business. Complain if you come in a whole hour before closing. Complain if you try to make a to go order, when they are busy, yet you can see a half empty restaurant.
