"Bear claws! Seasonal fruit slippers, large pies, danishes! ALL So delicious. Like flakey, crunchie, just right sweetness. All size overly large. Line goes quickly. (Currently window counter open). Easy to find. (Street parking easy, but also overflow parking behind grocery, and super nice public bathroom block behind grocery store, which is across the street from bovine bakery)"

Good place to get pastries and pizza in Point Reyes and not super gouge You like most places out there. I should try her coffee the next time I'm out.

Been coming to the bovine bakery since I was a kid. I don't live nearby any more but I always stop in when I visit. Bear claws and chocolate croissants are my go to pastry and they were as good a ever.

This is a real gem in Olema. Called ahead and ordered a cake and a variety of sweet and savory for a weekend birthday camping trip. This place gets busy, so get there early if you are just stopping by. View menu

Excellent and large! morning buns made more in the style of a sticky bun than the traditional cinnamon and sugar buns. There is a constant queue on the weekend but don't be put off! The line moves fast and there seems to be an ample supply of mainstays like the morning buns.

Folks on their way through Point Reyes line up at Bovine Bakery for their favorite morning pastry. Always a great variety of sweet and savory delights to choose from. There are benches just around the corner to sit in the sun and enjoy your fresh and tasty bear claw, scone or muffin.

Went to point Reyes in the off season and stayed up the road at a great hotel. First morning for sight seeing we stopped for coffee and pastries. Great coffee and blueberry croissant. Stopped there every morning next 2 days. Party of four and always excellent coffee, pastry or breakfast sandwich to start the day. View menu

A great spot to visit in Pt. Reyes station. I got a mocha, a bear claw, and a cookie. All were delicious. This spot is very popular, so there is usually a long line and they can sell out of stuff. In these COVID times it is worth noting that they have a walk up window so you don't have to go inside. Worth the visit if you are in the area!

"PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. This was the worst dining experience I 've had in my entire life. My boyfriend and I were trying to have a pleasant dinner, and happened upon Sir and Star at The Olema, which was highly rated for special occasions. However, our dinner was an absolute nightmare. Upon first walking in, the ambience was very nice, the entryway had a fireplace and pine trees, and was perfectly lit. However, it was eerie the waitstaff were very off putting and eccentric, and the decorations included dead birds on the wall. We had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes of arriving; so far, not bad. We noticed that a couple who had come in a few minutes earlier was moved from our table to a table in the lobby, which seemed really rude of the waitstaff. After being seated, we sat there for 30 MINUTES (this is not an exaggeration, as we kept looking at our watches) before even being acknowledged by the wait staff, despite several of them glancing at our table. They would serve another table, walk past us and look back, pause, then continue walking. This happened around 5 times could you just talk to us? I get it if it 's a busy day, but it takes 2 seconds to check in with us and let us know... but nothing. Not to mention the couple who was moved left the restaurant, because it seems like they weren 't acknowledged either. Finally, a woman came to take our order, saying it looks like you haven 't ordered yet . Lol? No apology or anything... of course we haven 't ordered yet because no one came to take our order... it 's hard to be ruder than this. We mentioned we were vegan and she said she could make us a menu, which we appreciated. Since we were starving after sitting there for so long, we asked for some bread and olive oil. About 10 minutes later they brought out the bread (focaccia) and olive oil. The bread was freezing given that this is an exquisite french restaurant , they should know how to warm up bread. We quickly ate it up because we were starving. About 15 minutes later, our waitress came and told us that a new table opened up that was bigger, telling us that our table was also wobbly. Fine.. but we couldn 't even say we just wanted to stay where we were at, as she came back and started moving our stuff there. Who moves patrons after they 've been seated for an hour? Anyway, we moved to the new table, which was also wobbly. And it smelled like cigarettes. After sitting at our new table for another 15 minutes, we were finally served our first course a parsnip soup, by a different waiter. The soup was actually very good, it was creamy and had delicious pecans inside. We were beginning to think maybe the food would make up for the horrendous, untimely service. We didn 't wait too long, maybe 10 minutes until the next course, some brussel sprouts with a sauce. This was pretty good too, it was crunchy and the sauce was quite tasty. But after this it was downhill. We waited around 20 minutes for the next course.. given that we waited that long, we were hoping it 'd be good. However it was half an artichoke with a disgusting dijon mayo tasting sauce (served by yet again a different waiter we didn 't even have a unique server). Blegh. After eating this, both my and my boyfriend 's stomachs were aching. Again, we waited about 25 minutes for the last course. The last course was a mix of vegetables in a tomato sauce the vegetables were ok at best, and the sauce was decent. It was a lackluster finish. Keep in mind we arrived at about 7:30, and it was already 9:45 at this point. We felt trapped we didn 't know how many courses there were, and couldn 't ask for the check since no one would come by. We were both very tired and just wanted to get the hell out of there at this point. It seemed most people were leaving, so someone finally came up to us and asked how we were doing... maybe since we were on THEIR time, and they needed to close, they finally started to care about acknowledging us? We gave them the remains of our l"

"We had a piece of truffled brie during a wine tasting in Napa Valley from Cowgirl Creamery so when we learned that we were going to be close by when we were on Point Reyes we made a point of making a visit to buy some cheese for the rest of the trip. They have nice retail space and a little kitchen where you can order a grilled cheese sandwich made with their cheese. We purchased some Mt Tan cheese from the creamery and Point Reyes Blue, some crackers, a cheese knife and a grilled cheese sandwich and we had lunch for three taken care of. There is really no where to eat out side that is very comfortable, and there is no eating inside at all. There are some planters and benches that you can sit on, on the side of the building and we made that work. The grill cheese was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but if was very filling and I was thankful that I was splitting it with someone. The Mt Tan cheese is their milder of the triple cream cheese and is smooth and rich without a strong flavor punch. I was not impressed with their customer service so that is why they are getting only four star. They were rather rude and it was hard to get anyone to help you at the cheese case, as they were all focused in the kitchen area. When we did get someone to help us with the cheeses they did not display any passion for the product and provided very short and non-descriptive answers to our questions. I would encourage any cheese lover to stop and visit because their cheese is very good. If you are lucky enough to be here during the holiday season then definitely seek out the truffled brie, you will not be disappointed."
