"Service was fine, but the food wasn’t good. Everything was served with disposable items, plastic forks and knives, and my salad in a basket lined with deli paper and aluminum foil. Honestly, the whole experience was lousy. It has this wannabe hippy vibe with an outdated menu, and single use plastics? No thanks. It was a bummer too, bc the place looked so cute and inviting from outside."

Super cute place, lovely owners, great staff and delicious food and drinks. They also are great at handling Gluten Free needs. I love that I have options there. View menu

My co-worker Googled local coffee and was delighted to find this spot. Since it had food, I grabbed breakfast and it was wonderful. Waitstaff was sweet but service was slow.

I found a long black hair in my sandwich. My husband and I both threw out our food and couldn’t eat it. We tried the fruit cups which were not fresh the Mellon tasted like fridge and the orange was dry. Needless to say to say we will not be returning even for the subpar drinks.

"An unexpected find! So glad we stopped at the Flanders Donut Bake Shop. I 'm reminded of the old prayer Oh happy fault of Adam : what seemed a mess turned out to be a wonderful treat. We were northbound from NJ to the Cape, with the strategy of beating traffic and getting gas at Costco East Lyme. We arrived at Costco only to find the gas pumps wouldn 't open for another hour. My wife was hankering for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat, and started looking for that big Donut chain. As we looked for an alternate gas station we saw Flanders Donut Bake Shop. Flanders Donut Bake Shop has a rich variety of donuts. We had the blueberry filled glazed donut that was a special treat, along with our coffee. There was a substantial line at 6:00 on a Saturday morning of a long holiday weekend: it moves somewhat quickly, but beware: get to the head of the line, gaze at all the delights you behold, you 'll be forgiven if you lose your resolve. I saw some complaints about the slowness of the service: the staff is knowledgeable and efficient, the service slows as the head of the line swoons in anticipation of the ecstasy that awaits. Flanders Donut Bake Shop is cash only, although they thoughtfully provide an ATM. Parking was adequate at the early time we visited. Perhaps what we liked best about this small local shop was the bonhomie among the customers: each bonded to the other in anticipation of our early morning sin . Try the Flanders Donut Bake Shop."
