"I tried this place for the first time and I’d like to start off by saying the takeout lady was rude and even rolled her eyes when we asked for silverware. That aside though, we absolutely loved the pizza so we were very excited to try our pasta. Unfortunately that was nothing but a tasteless disappointment in which we were totally mislead by the photos they provide. The Alfredo and the vodka cream penne come with hardly any sauce and in the photos they made it appear to be an overload of sauce. The Alfredo had absolutely zero flavor and hardly any chicken even though they advertise is as a huge piece of chicken. We also both had strange looking hard pieces(I will provide a photo) in the food. One piece was so hard I couldn’t even break it which is not $26+ quality. It also doesn’t come with any bread or side at all for $27.50 for the chicken Alfredo and $26.50 for the vodka penne which I could justify if the food actually came as advertised. Safe to say I will would never waste my money on anything here again besides the pizza. I would certainly come back for the pizza. The sauce and cheese were amazing and only $13 for a very good sized small."

"I recently enjoyed a takeout meal for lunch, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The price per person ranged from $10 to $20, which I found to be quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. The food itself was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. Each dish was flavorful and clearly crafted with care. Service also received a top rating of 5. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring that my order was ready promptly. As for the atmosphere, while I took my meal to go, I could tell that the restaurant had a welcoming vibe that would make dining in a pleasure. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a tasty and satisfying lunch!"

"I’ve passed by this restaurant several times and finally had the chance to stop in for an early dinner. Upon entering, the hostess was very welcoming and seated me on the front patio. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of pomodoro and garlic, reminiscent of upscale Italian dining. The waiter was equally friendly and quickly recognized that I was out of town, likely from noticing my license plates. The fresh bread paired with smoky extra virgin olive oil was a lovely touch. While there were many appealing items on the menu, I ultimately decided to go with the classic Chicken Parm. It did not disappoint! It was perfectly cooked and came with homemade spaghetti. This was one of the best Chicken Parm dishes I've had on the East Coast. I skipped dessert this time but I will definitely return to try more! Bravo!"

"I always enjoy exploring local restaurants when I travel, and this place was an excellent choice for breakfast. I'm quite particular about scrambled eggs and French toast, and what I ordered here exceeded my expectations. Like many local diner-style eateries, the dishes may not be the most Instagram-worthy, but it's definitely worth putting your feed on hold to enjoy breakfast here if you're nearby. Once I was seated, the staff was incredibly attentive, quickly taking my order and bringing me coffee. They made a point of checking in on me despite the restaurant being busy with other patrons. I look forward to returning here whenever I get the chance."

"An unexpected find! So glad we stopped at the Flanders Donut Bake Shop. I 'm reminded of the old prayer Oh happy fault of Adam : what seemed a mess turned out to be a wonderful treat. We were northbound from NJ to the Cape, with the strategy of beating traffic and getting gas at Costco East Lyme. We arrived at Costco only to find the gas pumps wouldn 't open for another hour. My wife was hankering for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat, and started looking for that big Donut chain. As we looked for an alternate gas station we saw Flanders Donut Bake Shop. Flanders Donut Bake Shop has a rich variety of donuts. We had the blueberry filled glazed donut that was a special treat, along with our coffee. There was a substantial line at 6:00 on a Saturday morning of a long holiday weekend: it moves somewhat quickly, but beware: get to the head of the line, gaze at all the delights you behold, you 'll be forgiven if you lose your resolve. I saw some complaints about the slowness of the service: the staff is knowledgeable and efficient, the service slows as the head of the line swoons in anticipation of the ecstasy that awaits. Flanders Donut Bake Shop is cash only, although they thoughtfully provide an ATM. Parking was adequate at the early time we visited. Perhaps what we liked best about this small local shop was the bonhomie among the customers: each bonded to the other in anticipation of our early morning sin . Try the Flanders Donut Bake Shop."
