Cara Irish Pub - Menu

I only stopped in for a quick drink with friends. It was a great atmosphere and if I'm ever back in the area I'd love to grab food and listen to a band play

Went to Cara is for the first time a few weeks ago and could not wait to come back! Great food, great music, great staff and great atmosphere. We found our new place!

I visited Cara for the first time a few weeks ago, and I couldn't wait to return! The food was fantastic, the music was great, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We've definitely found our new favorite spot!

One when the worst pubs of Dover, owner is harmful and full of setting, tap beers all taste really bad, no wonder that there is hardly any amount. Make yourself a favor, go somewhere else, especially if you want fun, good atmosphere, nice staff and good beers. This place has no!

The place randomly found in an almost empty space, almost left... SO GLAD we stayed!! Really nice beer and whisky selection, the food was fantastic! Cottage Pier was amazing, and the Haddock Nuggets were very good. It'll be back for live music at some point. Great atmosphere also in place, and the staff was very friendly! Definitely worth a trip! The customer service at Cara’s is beyond awesome. I didn’t get his name unfortunately, but I called to see what the wait time was for 4 people and he said “no wait at the moment ma’am”. I showed up 10 minutes later and he said, did you just call? I took the liberty of reserving a both for you! I mean what?!!! I was so stunned at his generosity to do that. And I cannot forget to mention how great the food is and our waitress was so sweet. I have never had anything but a wonderful meal, great atmosphere and such a nice staff. Thanks so much!

Been going to Cara for a couple years now off and on. I love the ambiance and when Jubilie is playing it 's a wonderful feeling in the pub. Just sit back with a pint of Guinness and enjoy. The staff has always been pleasant, and service good. The fish is the most consistent thing I 've had on their menu, I 've tried a few other things, like corned beef, burger, and a special now and then, but go back for the haddock. Portions are good. If I were to give a few thoughts, the corned beef was too salty, and I 'd change the fries to something 'beefier ', the 'lemon chicken and rice soup ' was lacking in chicken and rice department, and maybe cut back just a tad on the lemon. I cannot say enough about Tom, Dawn and the team at Cara! Sadly I had to help a good friend plan a wake for her husband. I called so many places in town and many said they needed more notice than a few days. Sorry folks but you cannot plan for death. I spoke with Tom and he said they do wakes for people often. He understand the last minute nature (literally 2 days notice) and he and Dawn were so kind, thoughtful and accommodating. My friend was so relieved. They were kind enough to work directly with me instead of having to burden her with one more thing during a very difficult time.
