"It seems that every Chili's location in the area is somewhat underutilized and primarily serves the bar area. If you're dining with a party larger than six, be prepared for a long wait to get a table; we witnessed several groups leave because they didn't want to wait. Despite the staffing issues, our overall experience was positive. The staff members who were present were friendly and attentive. When I inquired with our waitress about the recent trends at Chili's, she didn't have any insights to share. My meal was a bit lukewarm, but still acceptable. It's refreshing to find a sit-down restaurant where you can feed a family of four for under $40, even in today's economy."

I didn’t check Yelp before stopping here, and I'm glad I didn't. My wife and I chose to share a three-item sampler for dinner, which included ribs, chicken...

I noticed that a drink had been spilled on the floor, and it was surprising to see several employees walk by without acknowledging it. At that point, another staff member arrived and seated two guests nearby. View menu

Aside from the staff who engage in unprofessional conversations within earshot of customers, the food is quite tasty. I highly recommend the Blackberry Margarita—it's absolutely delicious! The Triple Dipper is a classic as well!

Great local chili’s with good service and good food. Place has always been clean and wait staff always try their best. Sometimes things on the menu are not available so it’s hit or miss depending on when you go. We went one time and they had no dinner napkins. Had to give us bar napkins for dinner.

We came in around 9pm and it was pretty much a one man show. A very nice young man cleaned off our table, came and sat us, waited on us and he was pretty the only one working. His name is Adrian and he was great. He was serving everyone and keeping drinks filled and the dining room running. He made a great impression with us! View menu

I'm glad we live near Chili. I love they have a full bar and they open quite late. Food tho, some of the items are under standard regarding quality vs price, but luckily that most of the foods are good and delicious to eat. The atmosphere is alway good. Service and personnel are diligent and attentive in most cases. This is my 4-star place that I will come back again and again!

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:00 and found the door still closed, as they were just a minute away from opening due to some key staff not yet arriving. I didn’t mind the wait, and they kindly offered to let me wait inside out of the wind. Once seated, my server Sheila was extremely friendly, quick, and courteous. Everyone involved made my visit very enjoyable. The food was delicious and arrived promptly.

"Down home cooking in Hutto. My boyfriend is about as country boy as they come and he had a hankerin' for some liver and onions and I do love me some chicken fried steak! We headed out to Texan Cafe and got both our needs met. As someone who grew up in the city, I was not really exposed to organ meats, but I do remember my mom having to eat liver and onions for iron when she was pregnant with my sister. I remember thinking it looked gross and when I tried it, it was confirmed. I will say, however, when the server brought out my guy's plate, I thought, now that actually looks good! I tried it and initially liked the taste, but after a few chews, that distinctive texture and taste came through. I still don't love it, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered. Kelly thought it was better than his Aunt Edna's. High praise, indeed. As for my chicken fried steak, it was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was the best I've had, but it was flavorful and tender. The macaroni and cheese was cafeteria style, not how I, or anyone I know makes it, but reminded me of how the school cafeteria made it. The okra was perfect and crunchy and not slimy. On Kelly's plate, the green beans looked to be the canned variety, which he loves, but I hate. The best part was the pie!! They have about two dozen made fresh pies to choose from and we had the skillet apple pie, served hot on a cast iron skillet with a brandy caramel and a large scoop after frozen solid ice cream which melts a little slower than normally ice cream temp. It was AMAZING! Worth the trip and the uncomfortable fullness we felt afterward. We will be back again!"

"Dined in on a weekday in the morning and was utterly disappointed. They appeared to be the establishment that locals would go to with good food and great service but boy was I wrong. Got the steak and eggs along with the country friend steak both with sunny side up eggs and hash-browns and an extra side of bacon. The sorry excuse for an 8oz prime rib steak was so raw I could faintly hear it mooing at me. The country fried steak was tough all the way through and absolutely drenched in their gravy that was disgustingly watery, I get that there’s different styles of gravy but holy moly it was nasty and lacking any flavor. The hash-browns on both plates were cooked on one side and raw/cold on the other, eggs had some green garnish that was completely unnecessary and on top of that they were runny. Lastly the bacon was almost $5 for 3 strips and clearly microwaved. The server was informed of all the issues but didn’t care and supposedly told the chef , the server left for a few minutes and came back with a bill totaling almost $70 which was ridiculous after the issues that were had you’d at least expect a discount of some sort on the steak that was completely inedible. Every bit of each meal lacked any sort of seasoning and had something wrong with it. The people who eat here must be delusional or maybe the chef was having a rough start the day. Either way my experience was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here unless you like cold and overpriced “food”."
