"Make sure you check your bag before you leave if you order food to go. I got to a jobsite that was located 12 miles away from the restaurant and no burrito. We had the other part of the order, though. We drove back to get the burrito and found out that mine wasn't the only wrong order to go that day. Manager and front-end employee's should show a little better customer service when they make mistakes. They didn't want to compensate me for having to go all the way back to get my order. I was not very happy. I left with my order and a refund. The manager didn't want to do it, but the point is that customer service can make or break a business. One thing for sure is they have good food for the price."

Large portions, good prices, fast service! The breakfast burritos are the best in the area.

The breakfast burrito is absolutely delicious! It's also quite large, which is a huge bonus!

Outstanding food! There's no reason to ever leave Tierrasanta again. The photo shows the California burrito, with a banana for scale (because America!). View menu

The restaurant is small and clean, with a strong focus on COVID-19 safety. The food was prepared quickly and was very tasty! Plus, it was very affordable.

I've found a regular spot that I'm not ready to complain about just yet. While it may not be my top choice, it’s a go-to in the neighborhood. The salsa is delicious, and we’ve enjoyed the burritos and rolled tacos over the years.

Food is great, however the customer service isn’t friendly at all. Due to the cashiers watching us like hawks, guarding utensils/napkins with their lives, having unwelcoming attitudes, made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Looking at reviews, many agree that customer service training is needed. View menu

We ordered two combo dinners for take out. We were both very pleased with the yummy taste, quality and price. We will definitely do this again. The beef taco and beef burrito was excellent as the shrimp tacos. Far better than expected. But I do wish we had been give, or new to order some chips as a side

The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the cashiers were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean as well. However, I wasn't a fan of the guacamole; it lacked flavor. For some reason, certain avocados make my mouth itch, and this was one of those cases. Of course, that's not their fault. Other than that, everything was wonderful!

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
