"I really liked this place for hosting my best friend's birthday dinner, but I encountered a few issues that might make me hesitant to return for another celebration. First, I was surprised to find out I had to pay a $25 fee to bring in a birthday cake, despite calling ahead to confirm that I could bring one without any extra charge. They must have forgotten to mention the fee during our conversation. Second, while we thoroughly enjoyed the diner, it was incredibly hot inside. There were so many people, and the heat was quite distracting from the dinner party. It was especially warm in the basement. On a positive note, the rooftop area was beautiful, and the food was delicious."

Great place and great food! We came in early for a reservation but were seated immediately, which is always a great start. View menu

We started with cocktails and a great view on the roof then moved downstairs for dinner. The fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese dip were my favorites, but all the food was good.

We had a fun group brunch with about 12 friends. The food was good and the actual space is great. The wait staff was friendly, but not super attentive or quick. Would recommend for a fast casual meal but nothing special.

We had a party of about 16 for a farewell gathering and the lounge/couch area downstairs was perfect! However it was busy for a Monday and it took a tad too long for several drinks to arrive. The drink selection was excellent though! View menu

It's not very clear when making a reservation that you can't sit in the whiskey bar section downstairs. I booked a table for a large group, expecting to be seated below, but instead, we were placed at a back table near the restrooms. Unfortunately, there was a strong chemical or air freshener smell that we could smell at our table. Crimson should make it clearer that reservations do not include downstairs seating.

I had a wonderful time hosting my best friend's birthday dinner at this restaurant, but there are a few issues that would make me hesitant to return for another event. First, I was surprised to learn that there was a $25 fee to bring a birthday cake, even though I had called ahead and received confirmation that it was allowed. It seems they forgot to mention the fee during the call. Secondly, while we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the temperature was uncomfortably hot. The venue was packed, and the heat was quite distracting from the celebration. The cellar was also very warm. On a positive note, the outdoor area was lovely, and the food was delicious.
