"We went for Sunday Breakfast . I Do Not recommend wasting your time and money at The Railroad Crossing Diner on Route 14 in Dundee, NY. The food was horrible although the name of the omelet was descriptive of the experience. I ordered a Garbage Plate Omelet and the waitress came over and said is everything okay . I said actually no. She quickly responded , is it burnt. ? Yes Mam , yes it’s awful….you knew it was burned! Here we are surrounded by farms and produce is abundant in season. Do not put rotten mushrooms and tomatoes in an omelet and serve it to a customer! Never ever will I order anything named Garbage plate ! They threw the kitchen scraps in it. Two and a half hours later , there’s an awful taste in my mouth. My only regret is a photo to show you stay away from this place ! Beyond awful experience !"

Fantastic fried egg sandwiches. Fun conversation with Jim. Small local diner that we'll definitely stop at again.

Breakfast sandwich on a Kaiser roll, pancakes, eggs super satisfying. Coffee was ok but server was friendly and we left satisfied and not over fed. View menu

This place is my hidden gem! I ordered a to-go breakfast, and it was fantastic! Since it’s so convenient on my way to work, I’ll definitely be stopping by regularly.

At first glance you might want to keep going, but that would me a mistake. This is very much a locals restaurant, but they know where the best food is and they're right.the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The hashfries hash +homefries)were very good. The waitress was friendly and good. The prices were very reasonable. If you're in the area, give it a try. View menu

I was very disappointed with both the food and service at this small hometown diner. The pancakes were the only bright spot—they were great! However, the breakfast was quite pricey at $40 for two people since we ordered the special. I ordered hash browns but received home fries that were so heavily seasoned with garlic salt that we couldn't eat them, and we were charged $3.95 for each. The server didn't check in on us during the meal nor did they thank us when we paid the bill. They also didn’t refill our coffee or offer to clear our plates. After driving an hour for this experience, I won’t be coming back.

I regret having to write this review. Given that this restaurant has recently changed ownership, I hope the new owners will take constructive feedback into account. During my visit on a Sunday, we waited at our table for 30 minutes before we had to ask for a cup of coffee, as no server was in sight to take our order. After another 15 minutes, we noticed the open sign being taken down. It was clear that the limited staff and chef were overwhelmed. Ultimately, we decided to leave to avoid adding to the strain of another order. As loyal customers, we're disappointed by the new owners' apparent mismanagement. Instead of extending hours, it would be better to reassess the current operations and f...

"It hurts me to write this mediocre review, as I can say that the administration and the staff works so hard to try to have a high level of guest satisfaction at this property despite pandemic-induced personnel challenges, but here I am again awake in bed after midnight because of the non-existent sound protection of the door that connects our room (224 to the adjoining room (225). Yesterday evening we heard every noise (every noise up to 2:30, and I slept terrible as a result. I hope these neighbors aren't as loud as tonight. I'm not sure if these adjacent room doors are through NY State Fire Code or what is required, but if you can hear any word of any conversation through these doors, it can certainly be difficult to sleep without earplugs. In the meantime we have no beep from the guests in the other neighboring room (223 without adjoining / shared door, as we checked a few days ago. Through social media research, it sounds as if this adjacent door is not properly isolated, which is completely unacceptable for a place that markets itself as luxury interiors. Some observations: GROUNDS: Unnoticed. Yesterday we even saw a man who sprayed herbicides on Klee, who turned around the outside doors to the lodge next to the primary landscape construction. This shows incredible attention to detail. The parking spaces and roads look relatively redesigned and are very smooth. VIEW: Stunning. When we checked for the first time, I immediately dropped my luggage and ran on our balcony. The view of the lake is simply awe-inspired. I love sunrises and sunrise views here must be among the best in the region. STAFF: Generally correct and professional. The woman who checked us was incredibly friendly and informative; she really seemed to enjoy her job. It seemed like it was the first day on the job for the girl who made our free tasting, but she did well. We bought six bottles. CLEANLINESS: I cannot praise the cleaning staff enough. When we arrived, the room was perfectly clean. Our room was cleaned daily while we explored. Our bed was made, our garbage was emptied, our toilet cleaned, our towels were refreshed, and our coffees and bottle water were also refreshed. I was impressed! There is either a black form or heavy mildew forming on the top of the outside of our shower cabin above the shower curtain, but it is not a great mass of it (yes LOCATION: Glenora is a tad further away from any nice walkable city center (Watkins Glen, Penn Yan, Dundee, Geneva, etc., as I want, but you can still be to most local communities within a 15-20-minute drive. We have researched all these aforementioned communities and enjoyed them immensely. NY is such a beautiful state. ROOM: Smallish TV (not a Smart TV), so you're able to access your streaming services. No microwave. Good mini fridge. Free bottle of wine. Mr. Coffee coff"

"As soon as they meet gita, they will be taken to their home and there is a connection like a friend or a dance that they haven't seen for long. she has advised to give where they go when they need it, whether it is for wineries, dinners, activities, etc. and of course it is so wonderful not to worry about eating and making bath supplies vegan while they are there. Although we had some great talks, she also gave us a lot of private sphere. she has beautiful gardens and even harvested a little bit to add to the breakfast, like the brombeans we had and she gave us a buck catnip to take our kitties home. kale recipe was really delicious! she has no problem sharing her recipe as I said she's like a friend she's keeping to visit) and so I'll try to get a home. they try to keep up with changes in the companies to pass on the information to their guests. it also uses local products whenever possible. at home is clean and unpredictable. has everything you need. cozy and comfortable. I wish the weather had been warmer because gita said the sky was dark enough to see the milky away in the night. we had a lot of space for covid. it takes additional precautions. I also like that she is great on recycling, which is important to me and so often overlooked when they are in a hotel. cats are cut off in their part of the house, which is separated from where the guests stay. we were invited to meet her and I had to see three of her beautiful cats. So if they are not cats or allergic, allergies should be minimal as they do not have the run of the house. and if they are a cat lover, they are there to meet. lage could not be better. it is really within minutes of everything they want to go, but not exactly where it is busy and loud at high tourism times. the house is located on a very quiet rural road. we're always planning to visit another."
