Great little place. No nonsense bar food. Loved the atmosphere as a little hometown bar. Went on a game night so was a little hard to get service but they were hustling. A must stop by if you like burgers and fries. Cold beer on tap.

Fast service, great prices, above average bar food and beer selection. It's a great atmosphere to just hang out with friends. No pretentious bar crowd or stuff like that. Older building in a funky location adds to it's charm. My one negative is the small bathroom, but even that adds to the charm of this place

dagwood is a Lansing symbol for burger and pommes. the burgers are all delicious and served perfectly cooked quickly. the chili is the best in the city and the bon soup must be the best in the state. the fries and tweepering rings are perfect and always one has to. Dagwood 's struck me as a comfortable gathering place for locals where the patrons seemed to know each other. The food was typical bar food, but it was quite good. I had the Grouper Basket. It has more fish flavor than does the regular Fish Chips which is made with Cod. I prefer the flavor of the Grouper even though the pieces are a bit smaller.

For an outsider, it's great to see that this place has remained consistent. I think everyone knows that they always serve cold beer, fantastic drinks, and the best fries in the city. If you're really starving, you can't go wrong with their queen-size burgers. Just be prepared for a hefty serving—17 pieces with 34 slices of cheese piled on a bun. Bon appétit!
