Denny's - Menu

It was a very busy morning. We stopped for breakfast. It was the regular Dennys with big omelette and unlimited coffee. The hashbrowns were rather raw. Would have likened that to be more crispyFood: 4/5

I can't believe they ran out of mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving! The person responsible for managing the inventory really needs to be let go. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 1.

Food was okay until we found a bug in our food. Would have been okay about this if we were given our food for free considering we weren’t even halfway done with it and stopped eating the second we found it. Not mad, just disappointed.Waitress was very kind, on the bright side. View menu

Good service, waiter was friendly, food was delicious. Parking lot, Dining room and bathroom were clean. Will definitely be stopping here again in the future when passing through. On a side note being on a low carb diet the waiter was more then happy at no extra charge have the sandwich I ordered put on top of lettuce (no bun) and substitute the fries for a side salad.

The food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. The server seemed completely disinterested and unfriendly. My husband ordered a full stack of pancakes but only received two small ones; he didn't want to complain about it. When our food was delivered, she placed it on the table without saying a word and hurried off. She didn’t check if we needed anything or offer a coffee refill. Later, when I requested a takeout box, she rushed by our table and dropped it down without stopping to engage. We stopped by this restaurant while traveling, which is pretty typical for the area. Our server was incredibly polite and even shared a few jokes with us. After a stressful weekend, we were really looking forward to some relaxation and a good meal. We usually don't expect much beyond basic service, especially since my hometown Denny's has waitstaff that aren’t the friendliest—I haven't been there in about three years because of that experience. However, our waiter, a tall Caucasian gentleman whose name I regrettably forgot, was very attentive and pleasant. It's refreshing to have servers like him who seem to genuinely enjoy their job; if he didn't, he certainly didn't show it.

As for the food, it was mediocre at best. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was deep-fried and crunchy, but also quite greasy. I couldn't be sure if the meat was even quality, as it lacked seasoning altogether. The gravy tasted like it came from a dried mix and was missing the creamy texture you'd expect from genuine country gravy; it also lacked the flavor usually found in a homemade version with sausage or bacon drippings—definitely not grandma's recipe! I also tried the Strawberry Breakfast Crepes, which were decent, but they topped them with ice-cold strawberries, making the crepes too cool—as if I were eating a refrigerated dish. Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly by the hostess, Kayla, who welcomed us with a friendly smile. She took our order, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food, praising the overall experience. Towards the end of our meal, as is customary, I requested a to-go plate for my son's leftovers along with the check. However, an unexpected issue arose when I tried to pay for our dinner. I discovered that my bank was undergoing maintenance, and despite my efforts to resolve the issue with their representatives, I was informed that we would have to wait until 3 AM for the system to be back online.
