"We’re on a roadtrip through Middle America. Vegan nosh is hard to find. Where we do find it tends to be super heavy fried meat substitute style (which is great but not for every meal . As soon as I saw the tofu tacos on the menu, I was sold. My first thought was “finally something I would actually eat for dinner.” Then I found out why. One of the workers asked how I was enjoying my meal and told us that the owners went on a vegan diet for a month to create the vegan menu. I think that’s fantastic and I really applaud the extra effort they put in to have a vegan menu that really appeals to vegans. (And hopefully that stuck with them to some degree. Fingers crossed! The service was fantastic. Super friendly, fast, and helpful. Good coffee. Comfortable atmosphere. We’re in a great mood from breakfast."

"I love this place. Their food is always good. But, I called one day and placed an order and I showed up at the time they said to. It was really busy so I waited patiently, I get to the counter and they said it would be a few more minutes. Not a problem... I see them behind the counter talking about my order being right there and ready. So I still waited for another 25 minutes and I never got called up for my order. It was extremely busy, which I understand, but it was disappointing that I had to leave with out my order"

"Tried this place for the first time, and was very impressed! The craft beer I ordered was some of the best I've ever had. The food was first rate, and the service and people were wonderful. Can't say enough good things about my experience there. I was with a large party, and everyone enjoyed the food and beverages they ordered, without exception. The prices were very competitive, and well within a working man's budget. I will definitely be going back again.The only downside, is that it's a very difficult place to find, as it does NOT face any major road, nor is the signage all that great. I highly recommend using Google Maps to find the place if you have never been there before, and study the map carefully before you depart.Highly recommended for all lovers of beer and good food."

"I have dined at this restaurant around 4 times, and every experience has been filled with great service and delicious food. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the prices are very reasonable, and the food tastes fresh and authentic. Delivery typically takes about 45 minutes, which is reasonable, and the crust remains crispy with generous and hot toppings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. After dining here, chain restaurants like Pizza Hut, Dominos, and even Papa John's pale in comparison."

"Stopped in for lunch on a weekday which was my first visit to House of Gerard. Driving up the building is authentic with well maintained coat of arms artwork on the exterior. Interior is nice as well with bar, 2 dining room sections and an outdoor seating area. We sat at a table beside a window which was very pleasant. Many places don’t serve lunch but there was a menu with lunch specials which we both ordered the cabbage soup. Ham, potato and cabbage which was excellent “comfort food”. Should also mention we had an house special Old Fashioned .5L of Hofbrau which were tasty. For lunch we both ordered Rouladen with red cabbage spätzle. Excellent dish on all fronts. Gravy was excellent and didn’t overpower the beef at all. Just a well done dish. Had a Brandy Alexander for dessert which was decadent. Needed a nap after that but was worth it. Can’t wait to return to try other dishes and experience the prime rib for dinner. Service from the waitress and bar were on point as well. Just a nice lunch experience."
