"I need to go back to experience the music again, but the atmosphere was really pleasant. I liked that even though we were indoors with walls, we could still technically feel like we were outside and see the sky from the rear seating area. The view was great, and some people were enjoying cannabis, which added to the cool and inviting vibe. I made some new acquaintances while I was there, and the wine was delicious although a bit pricey compared to other nearby places. The food didn't quite impress me, but I am quite selective so it's hit or miss for me. I would return for the ambiance and the people. I hope they can improve their live music setup because this place definitely has potential."

good concept of a Caribbean house / backyard and houses some of the best events that the city has to offer.

NOTE: I say this with the upmost respect and care for black owned businesses but… This target audience for this spot is definitely NYC transplants and non-‍

The nightlife scene at this restaurant is lively with beautiful people, great music, and tasty drinks. The only improvement needed is an additional bathroom. I will definitely be returning! View menu

Great date night spot. Good mix of queer and non-queer folks. The food is Yummy and the drinks are strong. Go to hear Jazz or hip-hop. Visiting at night but also take yourself there in the day for the open air seating.

They usually love eating here, but the lame with risotto is not. in soda, the lamb or the truffle can hardly taste, the salt was unbearable. completely unusable. I just played with my teller until the waiter came here to gather.

I thought this restaurant was just alright. Being 26 years old, I probably wouldn't choose to come back. I visited on a Saturday night and it felt like a college party. If you're in that college age group, this might be the perfect spot for you. However, if you're older, I wouldn't suggest it. The drinks are also pricier compared to other places in the area. do not come to the ticketed events! I wish I could give them more stars, but this is the second time that they played people who bought tickets for a event. I paid for their 5th anniversary event (what earlier) issue/74 why and could not get because they greedy oversold tickets and it was at maximum capacity. no chance to be a refund because their accountability and customer service is terrible. they were warned. update, 2/28/22: thank you for the answer, but I don't see any way to ask for a refund on eventbrite if the ticket does not refund.

I recently visited cafe zulie for her afrobeat and dancehall event! I was here a few years ago, but that was my first time in the night. I love the room, the outside. I will say, however, that the event itself seems to be very popular! the area in which the DJ stand is located, made the space very crowded for the entrance to the outside area, and if it doesn't matter to wait for the bar, the music and the amount could be a bit much. it is a great place to meet social, make sure that their vax card had in. this would be a place to go in summer.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
