"I went with a small group on a Saturday night, around 7 pm. The place was empty, which was concerning. I did read on OT review that this place is a Hidden Gem , so I thought that might be the reason why it was pretty empty. The waiter sat us down and was extremely nice and friendly. I ordered the ribeye steak, medium with some sides. The sides tasted good, but the steak was very disappointing. I am a steak enthusiast, so when I go to steak house , I do expect it to be right. The steak was cooked medium, but the meat was tough and on the dry side. It honestly had the textured of a leftover steak that was reheated. It was a very sad and disappointing experience. To top that off, I had a very long night at the restroom. I will spare the details."

The meal was a great value for Manhattan. My wife and I both had ribeye steaks and they were cooked perfectly to our liking. The mushrooms and pearl onions side dish was fantastic!

The ribeye steak, I ordered medium rare, was very charred and over cooked to medium well. I sent it back and the 2nd steak was better but still very charred and chewy. The creamed spinach was good but very soupy. More like a sauce than a vegetable. My wife’s cod special was very good and prepared great. Unfortunately the Baileys I had with coffee was bad and had a terrible aftertaste. They did take it off the bill. Not the best experience. Many better steak places in the city.

The wait staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with my elderly grandfather and helping us find our table. We were fortunate that the restaurant was not very busy by 8pm. I would suggest avoiding going a couple of hours before a show or event in the area to avoid the rush, and instead try to go later in the evening or on an off day if possible. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we enjoyed engaging conversations with the staff. Prices were standard for a steakhouse. I would have preferred more intimate seating options if I were going on a date rather than with family. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
