"This place gets some bad reviews and I am not sure why but I have my suspicions. I hate to hate on fellow yelpers but I think they are the problem. If your expectations are not aligned with what this place is you might be disappointed. Here is the deal:This is a hotel bar in the Hyatt Regency. It is an amazing view right on a dock on Lake Washington. It's a walk up bar where you can order your drinks and then grab a seat. Lots of seating but it is open seating so sure, when it's nice out it might be crowded. You can walk, drive, boat, or come by seaplane. Yep, seaplane. Beers and cocktails are great. Not the cheapest but this is not a dive bar. I think drafts were 9 bucks. Food was fine. Good actually. Again, you just order at the bar, grab a number and they bring your food. I had a burger. It's just a burger but it was good. Let's address the issue that most reviewers seem to have and that is service. Um. It's fine. It's good even. There are no servers roaming the tables you just go up to the bar. They are friendly and they get your drink. Lines are not too long but I am sure that is different on a weekend. Two bar stations serving people with a smile. I am here for work but I will 100% be back. Not because it is convenient but because they do a good job. Cold beer, cocktails, amazing location. What's not to like?"

Would definitely recommend. The staff was friendly and attentive. Brussels sprouts were divine!

Beautiful setting and quick service. Thought there was table service outside, but that's all good once you knew. Park at Coulon

Open table noted this as dinner when they actually only served Flatbread between 3 and 5 on Easter Sunday, not really what we were looking for. View menu

Everything was great expect for the food and mixed drinks. Very over priced for the quality of the food. Our pasta was very dry and bland. Pretty basic for $30-$40 meals. The menu makes the food sound fancier than it actually is. Great service and venue.

Food/drink was good, service was slow but it was busy. There was some musician hired to play for a few hours and for no reason at all the volume was cranked to 11. Could barely hear anyone talking. It's a meeting place, not a concert venue. Staff should set an appropriate volume.

To be honest, it was “ok”. The food was the best, but wait to sit with a reservation was frustrating, then wait forever to have taken our order, then wait over 20min on the server to pick up the check after they dumped it. There was a lot of “maintenance”. But the food was amazing!! I would be responsible for them to be busy, but they were not, everyone seemed somehow lost, management probably has to be together. I've come to the realization that this place is racist. I didn't want to believe it but one of the white male bartenders ignored me served a white male who came up after me. He the bartender didn't acknowledge me or say he'd get back to me. I wasn't drunk, high or anything else, and in fact tipped him almost 20% on our first round $9 on a $50 bill because that's all I had in cash. . If you're Black, the views are great, but not the service, as I have been ignored more than I'd like to admit. BYOB and sit in the dock and watch the sunset. #beautifulDon't go to the bar or restaurant

This place is a no brainer if you want to enjoy the PNW, with relaxation, a great view and hospitality. It has a great environment. My wife and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and sat in the chairs close to the water before a table opened up. There is a covered bar area for those that want more shade and more of a bar feel while still being outside and having a view. With the view and setting the prices and worth it. Plenty of food items and different drinks/cocktails. First two hours of parking is covered and after that it’s close to $10/hr. Only a few minute walk or you can valet real close.Parking: Parking is covered for first two hours.

"Let me start by stating that I don’t do online reviews, I’m way to lazy. But after my last experience here, I felt absolutely compelled to make sure this place got the recognition it deserves. My girlfriend and I have gone there twice in the past week. Our first time there, we had such a pleasant time. The food was fantastic! We had gotten the braised beef soup, pork soup dumplings, tofu puff and glass noodle soup, then the pork and veggie steam buns. At first I was apprehensive about the cost, roughly 10-14 per dish. But after we got our food, my worries diminished. Everything was absolutely delicious! The braised beef soup was the definition of “to die for”. Enough so that it brought us back again at the end of the week! This time was not as good, it was phenomenally better!!! My girlfriend and I both got the braised beef soup this time, after last time being so incredible. We were not disappointed! It was heavenly! Though the food was the reason we came back, our server is the inspiration for this review(not to belittle the other employees . Our servers name was Jun. Within moments of being seated, he arrived with a smile on his face and took our drink order. After returning with our drinks, he helped us make our minds up on what side to order. This time, in tandem with the two braised beef soups, we got the pork chop fried rice(w/ white rice). The pork chop fried rice was ridiculously good. We could not get over how delicious the pork chop was! Then he made some small talk and made us feel more immersed in our dinning experience. We were enjoying not only the food, but the environment almost as much. He wasn’t overly talkative, but just the right amount to make our experience feel important, and unique. Nearing the end of our second trip there, we found ourselves not just talking about how outrageously good our food was, but how friendly and attentive our server was. From the fast meet and greet, to the way he always made sure our drinks were full, without us asking. Which seems like an easy task, but in combination with the huge amount of customers, and my ability to consume copious amounts of beverages(almost to an embarrassing extent), it’s often a servers nightmare. If there’s anything that can ruin an experience, it’s constantly having to wait for a drink refill(which for me seems to always be a problem), but not once was I left with that frustration. At the end of it all, it left us with such a strong positive impression, that we feel that Din Tai Fung will easily be one of our regular go to destinations for amazing food, and exceptional customer service. Thank you so much Jun for the incredible experience, you truly made our night memorable! We will be returning soon!!!"

"We visited on 7/12/2024 at 6:15 pm. There is street parking along with parking on the side and in the back of the restaurant for those that drive. The bus also goes right by it you want to use public transportation. While very busy, there was a table available and we were seated immediately. This is in a converted house at the corner of Rainier and 68th in south Seattle. Out front there are a handful of tables and you can see Lake Washington. Be aware that Rainier is a busy, noisy street so be prepared if you do eat outside. Inside there is a bar that looks like it seats 6 7 people. There are many tables inside from 2 tops to 8+ for a variety of seating accomodations. The host was very friendly and attentive which made our initial experience and impression very good. Our server Liza was also very prompt, helpful and friendly. Again, a very positive and pleasant experience. We started with a bottle of white Pecorino wine that was on their specials list. Tasty and went well with our appetizer of burrata/pesto/sweet pepper sauce, also on their specials list. We really enjoyed them. The pepper sauce and pesto were very flavorful and a good compliment to the rich burrata cheese. The appetizer also came with pizza crust pieces for the cheese. We had the Sorrento pizza for our main which was plenty for two people. It was tomato sauce, crimini mushrooms, gaeta olives, mozzarella, basil, capers and prosciutto. It was delicious! The edges were medium sized and the center crust was nice and thin typical of that style. Overall the crust had a very pleasant chew. It was cooked to light golden brown and was cooked perfectly all around. No half burnt or burnt on one side and barely done on the other it was nice and even all the way around. The flavors went together wonderfully. The salty olives, capers and prosciutto were great compliments to the light tang of the tomato sauce, the flavorful earthyness of the mushrooms and the herbal basil. Overall very flavorful and I would have it again. Based on food quality, atmosphere, and great service from our server Liza, I would highly recommend. Great for couples date night, great for families, and perfect if you just want to sit at the bar and have you meal. Parking: Multiple street parking options plus a gravel lot on the side and in back of the restaurant. Kid friendliness: Good place for families with kids. They do have high chairs."
