"After a day on the boat we decided to come to NT and find a place to eat. It was a beautiful Saturday night and everywhere was super busy. Since we had no reservation, we couldn't even take a few seats this evening. It was also a bit waiting here, but there was a band so we decided to come to JP Dwyer. The restaurant is quite large. Many tables inside and they can accommodate groups. They have a large outdoor terrace and a good number of seating. It is definitely a historic building and a plunging kind of bar. First, the service was not good. It took a long time to get menus, water and finally drinks. The attempt to refill was even harder. Once we were able to order the food, a ridiculous amount of time took. We waited well over an hour. We ordered very standard bar type food. The server hardly came back to check us out. People who came after us got their food before us. We asked the server about food status at one point and she said it was not ready and she would check. 15 minutes later the food came. Some were hot and fresh. Other objects were cold, an object was not edible. I understand it's busy and places are understated, but we'd rather have got the food as it was cooked so that people could eat their food hot. It didn't seem like the server looked after a lot or was aware of when the food was up. My pizza logs were hot and delicious. The sweet potato fries were cold. I loved that they were running shoes and still very crispy. They would have been hotter. My important one had the steak sandwich and he said it was good. Other friends had the wings and said they were very good. Another friend had a burger who was burned like on one side of black car. It was really obvious and the kitchen would have caught this and not sent out. It took so long to get our food that we had to drive the boat home in the dark. No big situation. Seems we came in a bad night. We watched the band and the people. If you come to NT in summer at a weekend make a reservation for the place you really want to go to avoid this kind of thing."

Always a good time here. Food is good and the staff is great. The outside patio is great for large groups or parties.

The local watering hole for classic americana and irish fare. The wing flavors are amazing, just wished they were slightly crisper.

What a hidden jewel! This place is amazing! The burger was amazing and huge, the role was like a homemade bread Laaf and the tater deads were delicious and crispy. The beer selection is great and the waitress was very nice! We will definitely return.

Dinner here on their spacious terrace, had a great time! Our server Kayla was super sweet, attentive and made our experience wonderful! They tried their suicide/Garlicparm/ Jameson BBQ wings... they were AWESOME! Good wings, perfectly lubricated! Everything was great!

From all pubs in North Tonawanda this is definitely the most welcoming and accommodating. The outdoor terrace offers a bowl of water for all with paws. The burgers are always perfectly cooked and are so big I can guarantee that you cannot finish it. Steak sandwich is my favorite. The staff is attentive and personal; Alyssa is excellent, reminds us and our order every time. View menu

We came to see a band. First off it was so busy and we were waiting for a table. We put our name on a list. Checked after a while to see it we were next. By the time I asked again the person said “oh just sit anywhere we aren’t even using that anymore” We find a spot and have to clear off a dirty table ourselves. No one came to our table, at all. We walked up to someone at the bar and explained, she asked what we wanted and we put our order in. “Ok I’ll put that in” An hour goes by. Nothing. Another hour, nothing. My friend goes back up to the bar to ask about it and the lady freaked out and said she came to the table and looked for us no one was there. No you didn’t lady we were the first t...

I’m giving a four star but only because my husband and really like the bar tender Scott. He’s so welcoming and always seems to serve everyone in a timely fashion. In fact the times I’ve been here and he’s not working it’s seems like everything is off. Food is hit or miss here. The female bar tenders are not pleasant the one curly hair woman Santana or whatever he name is seems to always have an attitude. Friday we were there and the wings were horrible. Waited over an hour and then got our wings and then had to send them back to wait even longer for new ones that then tasted over cooked. Saturday night we came back and our food came out and waited on the rack for over 20 mins. The woman serv...

"A WNY staple for almost 80 years! Mr Mrs. Carl Greta Anderson, opened the first Anderson’s Frozen Custard in the Bronx, NY. They say that missing family they returned to Buffalo, to open their second custard stand on Kenmore Avenue in 1947. From there they expanded to other locations, such as Tonawanda (pictured in the attached pics), Amherst, Williamsville, Lancaster...The Amherst location lacks some of the initial charm of some of the older locations but is clean, updated and comfortable. There is a drive thru window and outdoor seating when the weather permits. You order at the front counter and they call your name when your food is ready for pick up. This is not a 5 star roast beef, but it's considerably better than an Arby's etc., as this is 100% natural beef (so 4 of 5 stars for me). Moist and delicious every time with Kaiser or the traditional kimmelwick roll options (horseradish available too). My last trip it tasted great, but was cooked a little more than I like (med rare med). Their pickles are pretty amazing too.Curly fries (good not great), salads, soup, chicken and many other options available. Ice cream cones (hard and soft serve)and even delicious ice cream cakes (my favorite) are available to go. Great for parties etc. Fountain drinks (you fill refill) are available with Pepsi and lesser known but unique flavor options including loganberry. If you're hungry and in the area of one of these, stop in!"
