"I've visited this restaurant a few times, usually when I'm passing through Albuquerque before 2 PM. I really enjoy the retro atmosphere and the expertly prepared food. The staff is friendly, and the portions are generous, with everything perfectly seasoned. I've tried the carne asada burrito and the carne adovada enchiladas, both of which came with pinto beans (not refried) and sliced, fried potatoes, along with a choice of red or green sauce—though honestly, choosing both is the way to go. Items from the dinner menu also include a bowl of stew, which was a delightful surprise. Next time I'm in town, I definitely want to sample some of the breakfast options."

The food tastes like home, reminds me of my Nana's cocina.

Always enjoy eating at this place. Food is good and the staff is very proficient. Have been eating here for over twenty years.

Worst service, awful rude waitresses, and it took at least an hour to be served. Order wasn’t taken properly. I’ll never waste money at this place

The staff here is incredibly friendly, and the Mexican food is delicious. This restaurant, established in 1950, even served as one of the locations for the Netflix series Better Call Saul. View menu

Fantastic place, family run and they are very friendly. Also have breakfast available all day. They close around 2.30pm. Dietary restrictions: Some good options for dairy and gluten-free here also.

As im a red chile gal....its my go to at restaurants...there was No flavor in the Carne adovada. I was expecting at least garlic.Homemade papas were burnt. Hashbrowns undercooked. Friendly staff....Maybe one day I'll give it another try but I definitely left hungry. View menu

The food did not justify the prices they were charging. Many items, like rice, hashbrowns, and steak, were unavailable. Given that this is a Mexican diner, I expected the refried beans to have some flavor, but they served us plain pinto beans instead. Overall, the food was quite bland. The soda tasted watered down. On a positive note, the chips and salsa were impressive. However, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for flavorful food.

Been eating here for years and had worst experience ever, but still had to pay. They were out of items on their menu. Asked 4 people for straws and napkins finally got up and got them ourselves. Food came home fries were burnt, no butter on toast, nor offered, nor brought when asked, no drink refills, asked for substitute item for 1 of our plates, never came. When tried to express dissatisfaction no one cares to listen. We've never complained before even when it wasn't that good and we've always given them another chance and gone back. I at least expected them to do the right thing and comp us for a meal that wasnt even eaten, but didnt get that either.
