"Yikes! What happened to El Jimador? And no, I’m not talking about the building falling apart in the front of the restaurant! I’m talking about the service and the quality of the food. We’ve been here several times but today will probably be our last. Our server, Alberto, was VERY rude. Not a smile, no greeting. Just get in, get out. My boyfriend and I both get fajitas. Fajitas Jalisco for him which were covered in grease and it’s like they’re chopping the meat smaller so you can’t notice how little you’re getting! Also the shrimp was falling apart and was too soft/mushy. I got the Especial El Jimador fajitas and the same for me, shrimp mushy, butchered and tattered steak and chicken. We didn’t even touch the shrimp and our server looked at the two (FULL) skewers of shrimp but did not ask us anything. Alberto needs to take some courses in service. He takes your order and then stands behind your booth watching videos instead of returning to the table and checking on you. Someone else refilled our drinks. Just terrible and very, very disappointing!"

The waiter seemed like we were a burden. And he was super rushed to get our orders taken and then poof, disappeared. I grabbed my own to go boxes. But I liked the queso and salsa. Yummy! ?

Stopped in on our way to Dallas and so impressed!! The food was so good, the service was so fast we couldn’t have been there more than 35 minutes, and the portions are huge and sooo reasonably priced!!

This place literally rules. I’m from Durant and everytime I visit I can’t not go here. You’ll be pretty shocked at how fast the food comes out and it shot and fresh authentic Mexican. There’s a place across town called el Canelo with a very similar menu, but that place has weird salty rice and a lame atmosphere. El jimador is the best Mexican place in town!! View menu

The server that took our order was terrible he did not even smile at use when we ordered a meal. My mother meal was not ever presentable to use it was like eating pig slob out of a pig trof. My brother meal was cold, not hot when they brought his meal out. My meal was small, not enough meat in the bearto, neat was too greasy. Gave me heartburn!!!!!!! WOULD NOT EAT THERE EVERY AGAIN.

This was our first visit to the location. We decided to order take out . The gentleman answering the phone at El Jimador was rude , didn’t answer the phone with a typical restaurant greeting, and acted annoyed. Decided to order any way because of the previous reviews . Ordered two combination dinners with hamburger meat. Both meals were suppose to include tamales, neither did . No one called us to let us know they would be substituting the tamales. The food itself was just ok. The meat was extremely salty . I don’t understand how this place could ever been given a 5 star review . Won’t revisit .
