"This is the first time I tried Ettan after several attempts of finding a reservation for dinner. The servers are very friendly and the overall ambience is good. There were two other little babies apart from ours. So it's young family friendly too. The food was great except I didn't enjoy edamame vada The salt in it was very less. I expected this place to be more surprisingly creative with dishes/tastes like Chef Pillai restaurants. But no complaints as the food was really delicious and flavorsome. We had Sesame leaf, Cauliflower, Peanut variation and they were scrumptious and satisfactory. Dessert sabudana kheer was mouth watering and very rich. The chocolate cake was extra rich and heavenly. Both desserts are a must try. I will not go here every week though as it is a little pricey."

Yummy food. A nice ambiance. Attentive service. My only gripe are the prices go here on a work dinner. Otherwise you're going to hurt your wallet

Amazing modern-indian inspired dishes! We loved the monkey bread and the peanut spread is a must!! Drinks were also unique and delicious! A must in Palo Alto!

This was my third time at Ettan and the food was average. The mocktail lacked depth and was too bitter. The atmosphere is nice and the service is upscale. The sesame leaf appetizer is a must!

No idea why monkey buns. Buns sprinkled with chutney powder? We would have preferred warm plates for those sitting in the patio particularly, in the winterseason. Tables were rather small and the passage narrow. Food just ok, wish we had more varieties on the menu Service was ok and as for ambiance, nothing extraordinary. View menu

The main reason I booked dinner at Ettan was because I love Copra and hoped they would be just as good. Not so. Food was just okay. We ordered the octopus, chicken, monkey bun rolls, butter chicken, and biryani. Also got dessert, it was really amazing. Service was five star, ambiance was as well. Worth noting, the restaurant is down a littlr

Was there yesterday for dinner. Had to wait for 15 minutes for a confirmed reservation. Avoidable minor irritation. The condition of the washroom was appalling. In men's washroom, there stagnant pool of water(? near the urinal. The waste paper bin was overflowing. Yikes. My wife went to the women's and came back fuming. The sink was clogged and not exactly usable. Yikes. Yikes.

Beautiful interior and loved the atmosphere! This restaurant has a great variety of Indian entrees, some with a Californian twist. We came for a friends birthday so we were a large party of 11. The service was excellent and we didn't have any issues. We ordered several dishes and none disappointed. We were seated outside and the heaters helped keep us warm. Hope to come backsoon! View menu

Fabulous!!! This is coming from someone who knows Indian food. Amazing food and the ambience is electric. Need a reservation to eat here. Definitely deserves its Michelin recommendation. Save room for their creative desserts ???? My only suggestionfor the establishment is not to rush its patrons. Our table wasn't ready once we arrived and once seated, we were promoted toorder everything at once as they were already doing last call.

underwhelming and over hyped the monkey bread is just hyped up bread the butter that came with it was so frozen that I couldn't even saw it. the butter chicken was really good . had a smokey flavor to it. not sure if liquid smoke or real smoke Naan and roti were average Deserts were pretentious and didn't make sense unfortunately . Not the best way to hit the calorie quota . The chef is humble in my opinion, but the food is not worth the price.
