"Best Sushi in Appleton... In fact I haven't been everywhere but of the many places my husband and I have, we have not had better in Wisconsin! Fantastic friendly service, and cozy genuine atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Plenty of no-meat or non-fish options Dietary restrictions: They have the best gluten free soy sauce, you could also eat there no problem if you are vegetarian, or lactose intolerant. Parking: Parking is shared with the hospital, that's why they only open at 5pm. I've never had issues getting a spot. Kid-friendliness: We've brought our kids here and they've loved it, it's small and cozy so kids need to be behaved and there isn't a kids menu, so kids should already be exposed to this kind of food or be adventurous eaters. Wheelchair accessibility: The only downside to this venue is that it's not wheelchair accessible and would prove challenging for anyone with mobility issues. You need to cross the landscaping to get from the parking lot to the restaurant, there are stairs right away that you need to go up to get into the space. If you aren't eating at the bar half of their tables are in an area you need to go down and upstairs to get into. Finally the bathrooms are very very small, especially then men's. No way you could get a wheel chair in there and a walker would be a real struggle. But if you have someone who would pick up take out for you from there it's well worth it!!"

The Nigiri was excellent and service was top notch, the only thing that sucks is I didn't know about it sooner.

I have always gotten great service and very fresh sushi here. The shrimp tempura and the yaki mondu are also highly recommended. View menu

We absolutely adore this place! While it may have an older building, it’s easily overlooked when you consider the overall experience!

We ate here a few times with family. The yaki soba and bento boxes are very good with decent portions. Would be interested in trying their sushi in the future.

My family used to visit this restaurant frequently, and we returned yesterday for a great experience. They still have their famous peak lemonade, which is fantastic! Overall, it was a really cool and enjoyable time. View menu

Vegetarian options: Yes they have vegetarian options Parking: Located next to facility Wheelchair accessibility: It did not appear to be wheeled chair friendly. Had to go up a flight of stairs to enter the facility, then go down 3-4 steps and up a couple steps to sit and eat; and go down a few steps to use the small bathroom for women

Seriously the BEST sushi in Appleton! This place not only has the best and tastiest dishes regardless of what you order but it also has the most friendliest, hardworking staff around! The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy and the other customers are always so nice! Compared to other places Far East is truly a hidden jem!!! Absolutely top notch!!!

"Food was great. I had a reservation for 10 people at 7:30pm on Saturday. We where about 8-10 minutes late to the reservation due to unexpected lack of parking in the area. Waitress seemed irritated with us from the start after I apologized to her for being late. Did not ask what our reservation was for but it was my birthday and I had people from out of town visiting me and was so excited about the night. Typically when you have a big group of people and can sense excitement, waitstaff will match your energy and celebrate with you, unfortunately I did not get that experience. She was somewhat friendly but after asking her how we could split the check she acted like my questions really bothered her. We spent $771 and tipped the 20% that was automatically charged to us I would have tipped more if service was better but I genuinely felt guilty for being there, which wasn’t a good feeling. Multiple people in my group made comments about how they feel like we where inconveniencing our waitress just by being there.I 100% understand maybe she was just having a stressful night but I’ve been in the service industry a long time and I would be excited for a big table spending hundreds of dollars and tipping roughly $160.I have been to this restaurant once before and came back specifically for the food. I am posting this to hopefully remind staff that customers are spending a lot of money and even if someone is younger or has a big group doesn’t make us an inconvenience (some people in my group thought maybe they wrote us off because we are in our 20s? Not sure but could have been a factor). None the less we are paying customers.I am not planning on again coming to this restaurant with how many options we have in this area because even with great food, the service did not justify the price. I will add a new review to the restaurant if they respond in anyway to me about this complaint*disclaimer I typically never post anything like this but I really felt the need to explain this situation"
