"I was really looking forward to trying their ramen after seeing some pictures online, but I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews. The broth lacked flavor, and the pork belly tasted off, so I couldn't bring myself to eat more after the first bite. The octopus balls were mostly rice or some sort of filler, with just a few chewy pieces of octopus mixed in. They looked appealing but were disappointing in taste. Overall, it was a letdown."

"Easily my favorite Mexican restaurant around the Jonesboro area. If the family is craving Mexican, this is the spot! The cheese dip is great. I recommend the enchiladas and the nachos, personally : waiters/waitresses are always very attentive and the overall feel of the restaurant is pretty cozy. It’s a bit on the dimmer side so it feels pretty warm and fancier than the price."

"I arrived at Don Jose Mexican just after lunch and was surprised to find the restaurant almost empty. After waiting about five minutes for our drinks, we then waited another ten without anyone taking our order. The hostess appeared distracted by her phone, and two servers walked by, also absorbed in their own phones. We finally had to approach the host stand ourselves to get someone to take our order. It was disappointing to see such a lack of responsibility from the staff. While I understand there may be staffing challenges, those on duty should remain attentive to their tasks."

"Updated July 2022: Very friendly service, but a little slow. Food was pretty good still the pimento cheese chicken was a little bit oily, and the queso was cold in spots, but the shrimp and broccoli were excellent! The server and the kitchen staff were accommodating to my dietary requests (little to no butter oil on my plate, please! They were kind and helpful! (Oh, but the bathroom floor was so sticky that I almost lost a flip flop! Someone mop it with some vinegar or something! So freaking good, no matter how long this place is in business! Service is friendly but kind of slow. Not sure what to say except be more responsive?"

"The salad was just average—essentially a standard garden salad. I didn't enjoy the avocado chicken bacon sandwich; it lacked any flavor. My partner ordered the Newks Q sandwich, and he agreed that it wasn't good either. We also tried the pasta salad, which was very bland. I had higher expectations based on the positive reviews, but I was disappointed. A sandwich from Lenny's would have been a much better choice."
