"Fig has long been on my list of places to dine in Charleston, and was absolutely worth the wait. I love the idea of a rotating menu based on what's fresh and available in the area from day to day. We started the meal off with Burnt Eggplant and Housemade Cottage Cheese with brown bread, and the flavors were so rich and delicious, we ordered more bread to finish the eggplant and cottage cheese. The Slow Roasted Berkshire Pork Loin with hazelnut romesco was super flavorful and had a melt-in-mouth texture. Strangely, our favorite item of the night was a side of Yukon Gold Potato Purée. The consistency was so thick and creamy, truly to die for. Everything about our dinner was fantastic, from the ambiance of the restaurant, to the service, drinks, timing of the courses, and dessert. I hope to be back so many more times to experience the different seasons and ingredients with Fig."

Excellent service and food. This place is a classic Charleston restaurant for a reason. Highly recommended to start off with the gnocchi as an appetizer...they were so light and pillowy.

Amazing food of one of my top 3 best restaurants I ate. All we have ordered was excellent: the gnocchi, policing shrimp, pig shell and the wreck fish plus the desert was something made of figs and other things.

First time here, super friendly, and knows staff. Great food!!! Great drinks!!! Beware the bathrooms are very dark! But a great place to get some great food. The music was pretty bad. We stopped Friday evening (7/21) without reservation and sat on the common table! What a great experience! Of course the food was excellent! I ordered the Gnocchi with Lamb Bolognese sauce as an appetizer. I thought I had died and went to the Italian heavens! So delicious, a cloud of happiness. My husband wishes he ordered this. He had the burned eggplants and cottage cheese with toast. It was different, but good. My entree was another appetizer, pasta with lemon butter garlic crab sauce. Another court to die. My husband had the amberjack with Polnta, which was extraordinary!! If you get the chance, go there and sit at the common table if you have a reservation!

We spent 4 days in Charleston and met as many of the 'musts' as we could, but Abb was our first station and the best! The service was excellent and I wish I could remember the name of our excellent server! It was our first vacation with our one-year-old and try to find out how we still do some of the things we loved with a little child. The high food is always with concern for me, since I never know how we are treated. I found all the drunken southern hospitality in Fig, from the moment we entered. And the fish stew is on my top five favorite things I've ever eaten. We love travels and have eaten in some great places, but I hope to go back to Charleston at some point in order to return to Fi...
