"I'm not a whisky enthusiast, but I enjoy exploring new bars, and Forman's came highly recommended by a trusted friend. It’s a fantastic local bar with a fun and lively atmosphere. I loved the interior design; it felt like I had stepped into a classic scene from one of the old movies I grew up watching. Our drinks were delicious, and even though we didn’t go for any whisky-based cocktails, the food was simple yet comforting, perfectly complementing our drinks and the tavern vibe. The only downside was the slower service, which wasn’t too much of an issue, but something to keep in mind when placing orders at the bar."

Thank you to Cory and the staff for the excellent drinks! We tried the Smoky Irishman, and it was fantastic. The late-night menu was impressive as well. We enjoyed the ceviche and Louisiana wings, both of which were incredibly tasty. We’re definitely coming back for more. Thanks again! View menu

Was in town for the weekend and went looking for a late lunch and drink. Found FWT on the map and pleasantly surprised with the food options and quality. Forgot pics of the drinks, but had some fun cocktail options and extensive whiskey selection. Since mid afternoon, not busy and order at the bar. Food was brought to you, but drink you take with you from bar. Reasonably priced. The salad, tacos and fries were a nice combo to split. Overall good find!

Best selection of top and mid range bourbons and scotches I have ever seen. Even some rare hard to find batches.Nice crowd. Place was full on a Tuesday but quiet. Polite and friendly crowd ranging in age from 20s to 70s. Not a place to go for dinner, but still enough menu selections to rate trying several. Those that we did order were very tasty. Bartenders were all attentive, friendly, and most important, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and will most certainly be back. View menu

To start, the staff really needs to learn how to respect their customers, and that just isn’t happening here. When they seem overwhelmed and a bit tipsy, it’s frustrating to think they’ll overcharge you for drinks you didn’t even order. Furthermore, these bartenders clearly lack the skill to make a proper Old Fashioned—way too much syrup and not enough bitters. The fact that they rely on over-serving their customers just shows a complete lack of integrity. I would strongly advise steering clear of these dishonest servers.

I've been here twice now and I really like it. The atmosphere is fun! The decor really makes it feel like a lodge and they have TVs so you can watch sports. The drinks are strong and delicious! I normally get the old fashioned and it's really good. My favorite part is that the food is better than traditional bar food. Our group got the Cesar Salad, fries, the wings, the French Dip, the grilled cheese and the burger. All were really good. Next time I'm trying the crispy chicken sandwich as that seems to be really popular. Looks delicious!

"Easily my favorite bakery in LA!!! Being French, I feel like it's so hard to find good authentic French bakeries but Lou sets the bar soooooo high! No other bakeries have topped Lou's. The croissants are *chef's kiss*, they're flaky, buttery and taste delicious EVERY TIME! I also like their chocolate bread (pain au chocolat) and eclairs, though the eclairs are much sweeter so if you're into that, definitely give them a try! I really love how they are consistent with their pastries. There was never a time when I was disappointed. Now keep in mind they get very busy on the weekend, the wait can be long like 20 mins, especially if you order sandwiches (which by the way, are delicious too and worth it!!! I tried the chicken and turkey sandwiches and would highly recommend them). I think they run out of baguettes after 1pm or even sooner sometimes so if you want baguettes or sandwiches, definitely show up earlier. Even their drinks are so good, I always get their vanilla latte and once again, it tastes delicious e-ve-ry single time! Wanna know another thing I love about this place? The service! Every time we ordered sandwiches and the wait was long, they'd give us a heads up before finalizing our order in case we wanted to skip the sandwiches. One time, there was a mixup which resulted in us getting our sandwiches later than expected so to apologize for the wait, they offered us a croissant * * You will also often see Lou, the chef and owner, walk around and say hi to his customers. He may even sit with them and chat for a few minutes. He seems to know a lot of people in the neighborhood and that's actually how it is in France. Bakeries are in every corner and we love our bakers! Anyway I know this is now a super long review but I only have amazing things to say about this place, their food, the chef and the staff. I just wish they'd open every day"

"Deja Vu Cakes is a fantastic bakery that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious treat. This family-owned bakery is run by a husband and wife who bake everything on-site, and their commitment to using only all-natural ingredients with no artificial additives is admirable.I visited this bakery on St. Patrick's Day, my experience was nothing short of wonderful. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, making me feel welcome and appreciated from the moment I walked in. They had a fantastic selection of seasonal cupcakes displayed top-level of the display case that are beautifully decorated and a sight to behold which included the St. Patrick's Day cupcake with a gold coin on top. The St. Patrick's Day cupcake was a red velvet cake, colored green, and topped with a gold chocolate coin. The frosting was creamy and rich, and our daughter loved it.The Bailey's cupcakes had some alcohol in them, and they were a real treat. The frosting was creamy and rich, and the cupcakes were moist and flavorful. We enjoyed every bite. The bakery's prices are also reasonable, ranging from 4-5 dollars per item. The shop itself is cute and has a welcoming atmosphere, with a friendly and hospitable staff that makes the entire experience even more enjoyable.Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Deja Vu Cakes and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and friendly bakery.I highly recommend Deja Vu Cakes for their excellent customer service, quality cupcakes, and commitment to using all-natural ingredients. If you're looking for a delicious and welcoming bakery, this is the place to go."

"I recently wound up coming here two days in a row. I was up in the area for a friend's show around the corner and we stopped in after to get some food. This is a fast casual place with a similar approach as Chipotle in terms of how you can order your food, but everything is homemade and the ingredients are higher quality. You can get a plate, sandwich (2 diff sizes), or salad. They also have things like meat pies and moussaka and daily specials in terms of the meats they serve. It was a bit later (maybe 9:30pm) by the time we got there. I ordered a salad with gyro meat. The salads were huge and they were very generous with the portions of meat they put in their meals. Because it was late, the meat was a bit dry and salty but the flavors were good. I loved the spices they put on the pita bread they throw it on the grill right before they give it to you which gives it a nice crispness on the edges. All the veggies in the salad were crisp and fresh and I loved the sauces they had on the side (tzatziki and the house aioli mount olympus were my choices). The reason I came back the next day was the DESSERT CASE. They had some serious and very unique desserts and I wanted to come back and try them out. This time I wound up getting a lamb shawarma salad, which was super moist and flavorful much better than the gyro meat. For dessert, my friend and I shared a cannoli cream puff, Greek candy bar, and a piece of the salted caramel baklava cheesecake. They were so good! I'm not normally a fusion enthusiast, but the salted caramel baklava cheesecake changed my heart this was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. My friend's favorite dessert of the three was the Greek candy bar it had a few different layers with different textures and flavors and it was also a standout. They also had baklava ice cream that I haven't tried yet. Everyone who worked here was super friendly! I will definitely be back whenever I'm in North Hollywood for that cheesecake!"
