Fujian Ya is undoubtedly one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Minneapolis. We really enjoy it, thanks to the wide variety of options available. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. It's a fantastic spot for a Date Night escape!

I've had a good amount of sushi over years. Tried some good and some that were not that good. I think this place is extremely overrated. Pros: good service. Cons: the ambiance reminds of a pub and not a sushi restaurant. Sushi was very unimpressive (overcooked, fish could be more fresh). Decor could be updated. View menu

I recently visited this restaurant with a friend after noticing it frequently on my street. The food is fantastic, and the cocktails are excellent! We ordered a variety of sashimi and sushi rolls, and the staff was incredibly helpful in assisting us with our selections. The atmosphere is lovely, making it perfect for a quick lunch or a nice dinner.

Decent quality sushi! Nice ambience on both sides of the restaurant (there 's a quieter, dimly-lit side, and a casual side with brighter lighting and good overhead music. The help is exemplary. Patient and professional. Real 'feel-good ' attitudes, throughout the place. Super-clean bathrooms. Price is fair. Value is good. Happy Hour is a bargain! Well done, Fuji Ya. I will return.

3.5 actually. The apps were good. We tried the calamari, gyoza and the tuna tartar, I like this one best. I ordered the seafood tempura dinner and my daughter ordered the fuji ya special bento. Just a note, the tempura dinner is a lot. Both of these items are nothing to brag about. We ordered some sushi items but for me, they all taste the same wherever you are. Then we ordered dessert (forgot the name) but, the chocolate roll is so dry. I'd only go back for the tuna tartar.

Every dish we had was delicious and truly flawless; if you enjoy meat, you simply have to try the yakiniku. The tempura ice cream served as a fantastic conclusion to the meal—we opted for the ginger flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! There was a slight delay before we were seated, but we were quickly informed, and the staff was nothing short of polite and friendly. As the service began to slow down, our waiter would come by to chat with us, enhancing our experience and making it all the more enjoyable and memorable. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!

My husband and I tried this place and had high expectations based on the good reviews and ratings. Unfortunately we were both disappointed. We ordered the egg rolls, one sushi roll, two entrees, and two drinks. In our opinion, everyhing was overpriced and wasn't a good value for the money. The service was extremely slow. Our waitress brought us salad but no forks. When we realized we didn't have forks, she was nowhere to be found. She didn't come back to our table until she brought our entrees (25 minutes later) which is when I asked her for forks. She casually said yes and wasn't apologetic at all.
