"Terrible experience. Be cautious— the online prices are misleading. The food at this restaurant is awful. The actual menu prices are double what they advertise online. The pupusas are $4 each but are previously frozen and just reheated; they're not made fresh. We waited over an hour for service while the waitstaff danced on the bar. The mixed dish was listed as $20 or $25 on the menu, but they attempted to charge me $35, claiming the price in their system was different. Be sure to check your bill before you pay. We even had to call the owner, and they still wouldn’t correct the prices until I threatened to involve the police or leave without paying. We didn’t even receive silverware until we asked for it for the third or fourth time. Avoid this place and the stress it brings; spend your money elsewhere on better food. Even if you find bad food at another restaurant, it couldn’t be worse than this."

The Guatemalan food here is absolutely delicious. The owner, who is also the chef, is wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

Horrible place. Don?t ever go there to have a drink. The bartender ripped me off. I ordered a double vodka with club soda and they had the nerve to charge me $20. When I complained they said a regular drink is $10. Can you imagine paying $10 for a mixeddrink and she didn?t even put a hole shot in. A place like this shouldn?t be in business.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant and would not recommend it for drinks. The bartender significantly overcharged me. I ordered a double vodka with club soda, and to my surprise, I was charged $20. When I voiced my concerns, I was told that a standard drink costs $10. It’s hard to believe that a mixed drink would cost $10, especially since the bartender didn’t even pour a proper shot. A place like this really shouldn’t be in business. View menu

The service was disappointing; I often had to correct my server's errors. The restaurant felt cramped and humid, likely due to inadequate air conditioning. Moreover, the bathroom had a window that uncomfortably overlooked the dining area. Overall, the food was below expectations—my Guatemalan friend who joined me agreed it lacked authenticity. To make matters worse, the water served was the lowest quality brand available, and I was hit with an additional $7 fee just for paying by credit card. The whole experience was chaotic, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

When they messed up our order, the woman who took it went to the back and started gossiping about us instead of fixing the problem. We could clearly hear her and her coworkers talking, especially since we’re all Hispanic. Eventually, another staff member came out to explain the mistakes. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It seems better suited for people who just want to drink rather than have a proper meal. To make things worse, we were the only customers there, and I can’t understand how they managed to get three identical orders wrong. Our food took forever to arrive, and by the time we finally ate, it was cold. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

"DONT COME HERE IF YOUR NOT WHITE. The owners are extremely racist and they will make sure you feel uncomfortable as soon as u walk in; you just feel their eyes already judging you as u walk into the restaurant it’s the two overweight Italians specially the lady. I am a regular at this place I go there so much that the servers already know my order. The servers are very nice and friendly. I always tip them accordingly, I never have left without tipping except for today because our waitress left early so her coworker took the table and just gave us the check so of course like I’m sure any other person you wanna tip the person who actually served you but unfortunately she left for w.e reason so when we went up to pay we hit no tip on the machine and automatically the racist owner started giving us a talk about how she doesn’t know if we’ve ever went to a restaurant but it’s not the same as fast food and we have to tip.which is absolutely absurd and a crazy way to treat you guests, when you first of all don’t even know if we left cash on the table (which we sometimes do. My boyfriend actually knows the waitress we had today because it’s his cousin and was going to send her her tip through cash app to make sure she was the one who got the tip since she was the one who served us. Which I didn’t think I would need to give an explanation to anyone. Especially knowing that tipping isn’t even mandatory. She than pulls out her pen and says that we can add the tip on the receipt which I said no because our waitress left and she said it’s doesn’t matter you still have to tip it’s a group effort. At this point I don’t even want to tip at all because it’s just insane the way she is talking to us and demanding we tip which I have no problem doing because I am also a tipped employee. Personally I would never demand someone tips me and if I did I would never speak to someone so rudely like she did to us. She acted like we were caveman that have never stepped into a restaurant before knowing we go there many times a month. I bet if we were white she would never even have the courage to ask why they are hitting no tip. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!"

"tl;dr: awesome spot, reasonably-priced, delicious food, great service. wonderful neighborhood gem!we were debating btw this place and another spot, but this place ultimately won because i got drawn in by one thing and one thing only: the steak frites. the place was cozy and romantic, with a few tabled already occupied. they're currently offering an inflation buster prix-fix menu, for 1 app and 2 mains for $60 and that's what we went with. we got the following to try:-BBQ ranch chicken nachos: huge portion! juicy chicken breast strips, pico de gallo, ranch, bbq sauce, and melty cheese on crunchy tortilla chips. the pico had a nice tang to it, it wasn't your typical lime juice but i can't seem to put a finger on it. but really good! i do think it's better to cut the chicken into cubes than strips tho, for better chicken-to-nacho distribution ratio.-steak frites: comes perfectly cooked as requested (medium rare), served with bearnaise, fries, and garlic aioli. the steak was thick, meaty, and tender. the bearnaise sauce was awesome. we loved the garlic aioli and it paired well with the crispy fries. HIGHLY recommend this one!-brick chicken: seared, deboned half chicken (except the drumette, for presentation), served with baby potatoes, and mushroom/spinach in a marsala wine sauce. the chicken was nicely seared and juicy (yes, even the chicken breast), but a tad too salty for my taste. the marsala wine sauce was rich and creamy, but it does get a little heavy after a few bites.-lemon sugar crepe: light, tangy, refreshing.i also tried a cocktail but can't seem to remember the name of it for the life of me. i believe it was gin-based, with some kind of citrus. it was really tasty and well-balanced too. service was awesome, food was delicious, huge portions (we had leftovers), and just a really wonderful neighborhood gem. would love to stop in again if we're in the area!"
