Reasonably priced, nice seating area, quick service. The salad bar had a huge selection. My one critique is that the egg and crab salads in the salad bar tasted pretty bad.

To sum it up, while the staff appeared friendly, they weren’t very welcoming. The coffee was cold, and they didn’t have stevia available. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience. On a brighter note, the food was delicious, but the atmosphere felt lackluster—very quiet and somewhat sleepy.

I’ve been going there because it’s convenient. The food is ok and you get very little portions but I will never go back as the owner or man who works there was extremely rude to me and unprofessional. He’s clearly miserable and hates his job, if that’s the case don’t work with people if you don’t know how to treat them or find another job. View menu

I ordered a roast beef sandwich and a fried eggplant sandwich, both served with fries to go. The staff at the counter were friendly, and the cook was quick and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious, and the pickled onions on the eggplant sandwich were a delightful touch. The fries were especially impressive—crispy and perfectly seasoned.

This is a fantastic breakfast café and sandwich shop! They serve generous portions of delicious, hot, and fresh food, and the service is friendly. The coffee selection is basic but decent—it's really the food that draws you in, not the coffee. Lunch was just as impressive. The menu is somewhat limited but diverse enough that there's something for nearly everyone. I visited once and ended up returning twice during my 4-day stay in downtown Madison!

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was, especially for the price. I ordered the veggie breakfast burrito, and my boyfriend opted for the mac and cheese. Both dishes were excellent. The burrito had a wonderful aroma as soon as I cut into it. The only odd part was that it didn’t mention a side dish in the menu description, yet they included a sausage alongside my veggie burrito. The chicken and turkey sandwiches were mediocre, earning a 6/10. The fries were strangely crispy—almost as if they were double-fried—which might just be a matter of personal taste, but I didn’t enjoy them. On the positive side, the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant are excellent, and it's conveniently situated right behind the Capitol. I think the prices are reasonable given the location and atmosphere, but I wouldn't recommend focusing on the food when you visit. Even the coffee fell short of expectations. Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back!

Their zesty sauce was great! {Enjoyed one chicken one eggplant sandwich that I 'd recommend. Honestly, would 've probably given Full Stars if fruit didn 't taste a lil 'weird. I also had the wheat toast, which was quite good. They serve it in halves, which is a generous portion, and they provide options for jelly and butter. The coffee served is from Collectivo, which is decent; however, the house coffee is more expensive than the to-go options since it’s bottomless. It would be great if they offered an in-house coffee option that is just one cup at a lower price to encourage patrons not to opt for the to-go cups when dining in. Overall, it's a quick and convenient American-style breakfast spot, but it could really benefit from a lesson in seasoning and taking the time to prepare better-quality food.
