"A classic establishment, retaining of times perhaps when things were simpler. The corned beef sandwich was just corned beef. The chicken soup was, without chicken. The soup was served warm and ended up cold. The soup should be hot! Flavor was a bit diluted. The corned beef was of the lean variety, but lacking any richness and marbling you might hope for. The pickles? Those were excellent. Served at a relaxed pace. 18% tip added automatically. As a first impression, I wasn’t left particularly impressed."

The food was very delicious, but without a doubt the best thing has been the attention and good treatment of the man who runs it. View menu

Can't say enough about the absolutely delicious food. They are using recipes that have stood the test of time for over 70 years. Really well worth a trip from anywhere!

Had the most amazing experience! It's the best and most authentic Kosher food in New York hands down. Massive portions make up for the high prices. Goulash was top tier.

We came here for an authentic Jewish New York experience in search of the best pastrami. Forget the tourist places, the pastrami is delicious, smoked just right, very juicy and served with pickled gherkins. View menu

Ordered on Uber Eats and waited about 4 hours only to call them and they said they don't know what's going on. And they then marked it as delivered. Ignorant people. Would not recommend if you want a decent experience

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
