"I recently ate at the grove, probably my sixth or seventh time eating there in the last several years. I must say I was a little disappointed because the prices have seem to have gone through the roof. I did expect it to be a bit pricey, as it has always been, but the quality was always there this time I paid $42 for six scallops which were pretty good but not great. My partner who is a vegetarian was only provided with a pasta Primavera dish for $25 and she was quite disappointed after I had really played up, how great the grove market is she said she could get pasta Primavera anywhere and for about half the price. Would be nice if they had a vegetarian gourmet option instead of a salad and pasta. I was also a little surprised that the house salad was 12 bucks and my appetizer was 18. However, the thing I was most disappointed about was the pie that they've always serve. They're so delicious but they are cutting it into such slivers now and charging $11 per slice and it certainly isn't worth that. So, I think I've been to the grove for the last time due to the excessive cost ."

It's been a couple of years since our last visit, as it used to be a regular stop during our week in Ocean City, Maryland. They had a local woman who baked their desserts, including the renowned Bumbleberry pie, Chocolate Mousse, and Key Lime pie. Is she still the one making the desserts?

This is not the same Grove market. The ambiance is gone, as is the wonderful old owners and atmosphere. Incredibly loud compared to the old place. Patrons were rude and obnoxiously loud. The food was okay, but not at those prices anymore. No longer a unique and pleasurable dining experience. Sad.

When you first drive up to it you look around and wonder What is so special about this place? Then you walk in and have the drinks and eat the food and then know why this place is special. The people are great, the service is great and the food was delicious.. Will definitely go back when we are back in Maryland.

Delicious food, engaging service, and beautiful indoor seating. There’s a wide selection of enticing seafood and protein dishes. All four of us chose different entrees and sides, and we were all impressed, with plenty of satisfied exclamations around the table. The desserts were delightful as well. Arrive early, take your time to enjoy, and be prepared for menu prices that might surprise you — it’s definitely worth it! View menu

Love, love, love this place! Eating here is truly an experience! The menu changes on a regular basis. The seating is limited so you need to reserve far in advance. We are here during COVID and we're able to sit in a small tent. It was perfect! I have been here several times for special occasions. It's been a perfect place to go for ladies' weekends and for our anniversary. Eclectic, fun and definitely a place where you will spend a few hours--it's truly a fun dining experience!!

The evening starts with an overly dramatic wait person describing the offerings of the evening. There is no menu, no prices. I find this quirky to the extreme and makes financial assumptions about the clients and doesn't permit one to study the dishes being offered. Results: -sides of mashed potatoes and string beans-really? Is this as creative as it gets? -Lamb-couldn't cut it-sent it back and was credited but meal ruined. -Haddock-bland with very little taste in a panko crust that overwhelmed the fish and was more like a giant fish stick. -Appetizer salads-best part of the meal -Duck-reported to be stringy and tough. One of the most pretentious performances I've been part of, mediocre food...

Things only got worse from there. Previously, customers would often tailgate in the parking lot, enjoying a cocktail while waiting for their table, and we wanted to know if that was still acceptable. While the hostess assured us it was fine, we decided to double-check with the owner since we would be bringing alcohol. He gave us the green light. However, just as we were setting up with drinks, crackers, and cheese—something that was standard practice under the previous ownership—he came out and angrily accused us of being rude and obnoxious. Needless to say, we left and went to Lighthouse Sound instead, where we had a fantastic meal, a full bar, wonderful staff, and a beautiful waterfront v... View menu

When Leslie ran Grove market, it was professional ,classy place and the food was much better than it is now. It has disintegrated into a comedy show. The new owner believes himself to be a comedian, Is very sarcastic towards his customers. The grove used to be Mainly only open on the weekends, but now it's open every day of the week and because of it, everything has become substandard, The rack of lamb is now fifty dollars, The prices are outrageous and the quality has gone dramatically downhill, The new owner's dogs were also in the restaurant and past visits which is unacceptable. In the past the waiters and waitresses would tell you the Menu verbally and you were excited to try it. The ne...

What a different style restaurant than we are used to! This was our first visit and we hope to go back when in town next season. It's cash only! The waiter gets everyone's attention and shares the daily appetizer menu, then entree menu and finally the dessert menu. We started with the lobster bisque, smoked pate and house salad. Lobster bisque had chunks of real lobster was a bit salty. The pate was delicious and they brought over more crackers for us. The salad was delicious and fresh! For entrees we had filet mignon, scallops, grouper, leg of lamb and Chilean sea bass. The Chilean sea bass was prepared with a crab meat topping and was so delicious! The grouper looked fried and it tasted de...
