"When I was a kid it was cool to do gross things. Picking your nose, chasing girls around the schoolyard with bugs, and eating cow tongue. Yes, this was where I was introduced to the delicacy known by the Mexicans simply as Lengua I also learned Cesos . I pretty much learned all my standard Mexican burrito meats here. My Uncle Jerry would drive us here after a hard day of sweating shovels at the family ranch. It was always cool seeing all the Mexican curio stuff they had, stuff like salsa bowls made from pumice, figurines of the virgin Mary and candles of the patron saints for sale on the shelves. The burritos were always, and still are top notch. You would be hard pressed to find a burrito of this quality and quantity for the same price."

This is one of the finest Mexican Food spots in San Jose. I have been eating here for years and I refuse to go any where else. The help is always friendly and courteous and the food is excellent. Keep up the GREAT work!

I have turned several of my friends in to Chile Colorado Burritos at Guadalajara 's fan 's. It 's easy to get to from 101, 680, downtown, east side, wherever and the burritos are the best. My Grandma used to take me there as a kid and I trust her opinion.

You need to come to this place and try the Chile Colorado .. I drive all the way to this place because I can't find any place by my house that makes it the way they do. It's really good. I really recommend this place try one of the Super Burrito it's lots of food for cheap.

The new ownership at Guadalajara Market sucks! It's been awhile since I ordered tamales from this market and needless to say this year I was extremely disappointed! The masa was dry and the tamales had hardly any meat filling inside. If I could give it less than one star I would. View menu

I definitely recommend getting your masa here for tamales. The holidays are approaching, and I can't wait for the weather to cool down so I can make a batch! The burritos are fantastic for when you're on the go. They can be a bit messy, but if you're on your way home, just enjoy them anyway! This place has a long history.

Mini-Market slash Taqueria. Plethora of meats. I'd give it that. Burritos are small for what they are. 6 dollars for a Super burrito that doesn't include sour creme or cheese. Did I mention it was the size of a small crystal geyser water bottle? I recommend you driving down 2 blocks to La Costa. The burritos are 4 bucks there and are loaded with goodies..

Thank you, Larry, for introducing me to Guadalajara Market. The lengua (cow's tongue) was the first I've had in many years, and it reminded me of the wonderful comfort food Mom used to make. While the market aspect isn't the focus here, the highlight is definitely the delicious homemade Mexican food served in burritos, tacos, or combination plates. The prices are very reasonable, but it does help to know a little Spanish when placing your order. There's a variety of cooked meats to choose from, and no need to try the tongue or pig snout unless you're feeling adventurous, whether you're a brave gringo or a typical Mexican. View menu

Every year, my family comes here to get our masa for holiday tamales. If you're looking for masa to make your own tamales, this place is fantastic. They also sell chiles and traditional lard. In addition, they offer delicious tacos, burritos, and more, so if you're not in the mood to cook, you can just grab a quick meal or take something to-go and pretend you made it yourself—haha! It's a bit like a mini-market, too; they have sauces, tortillas, fried pork rinds, chips, and other fun items. We always discover unique Mexican treats when we visit, which my husband loves. Don't expect a fancy place—it's not the prettiest, and the neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, especially at night, but the f...
