This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The food was okay, but there were some issues with my order. I requested the pancake plate with black sausage, and added a side of bacon. However, I had to pay extra for the bacon and ended up getting an additional sausage. The food arrived warm, but the eggs were watery, likely from liquid eggs which I did not enjoy. The syrup was also watery and lacked flavor. To top it off, there was a hair in my food which left me feeling disgusted. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant as I can make a better breakfast at home.

I have ordered several times from this restaurant in the past, trying to support black-owned businesses, but I will not be ordering from them again. I recently ordered breakfast for my family, and they gave my mother a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with the end pieces of the bread. Who does that? When I asked why they would serve someone a sandwich with the end pieces, they said that's what they were taught to do and that bread is bread. The pancakes were dry and the bacon tasted like it was cooked in old grease. It's unfortunate, but I won't be returning to this restaurant.

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
