Hickory Tavern - Menu

I enjoyed a meal of tender fish and crispy fries at Hickory Tavern with some wonderful friends. The vibrant atmosphere and tasty food made for a great experience. I was thoroughly pleased with my visit and highly recommend Hickory Tavern to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.

Nice environment and friendly staff. Disappointed in the food especially for the price. The “premium” Macaroni for an additional $2.99 is easy mac. The rest was alright, other than we asked for no onions, and the tacos came out loaded with them. Pow pow shrimp was good, but nothing worth returning over.

The staff was nice and the beer was cold and delicious but the cooks need to be told not to add so much salt to their food, also my fish and chips were soggy and oily the fish had an after taste and again super salty I couldn’t eat it and my husband left his whole plate alone for fear of a heart attack. After a long day of travel, in this hidden jewel for a fast bite. Our server, Michelle, was fantastically very friendly and attentive. I had sat the regular wings on the Carolina Gold bbq sauce. The wings were delicious, the sauce was sweet and tangie, but I wish they were just a bit crispy. Still delicious. My MIL had the charred wings and they raves over them. I will definitely try to be in town next time.

Fantastic spot for watching sports events! We visited to catch the FIFA World Cup, and they had an enormous projector screen that I haven't seen at other restaurants or bars. The staff was wonderful; our waiter was incredibly patient with us while we were engrossed in the Argentina match. The food was tasty, and they offered an excellent selection of drinks, including a wide variety of beers and cocktails. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others! View menu

I visited the restaurant just before 1 PM on a Monday. It wasn't too busy, but I still had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks and another 30 minutes for our food. I ordered the Cedar Salmon, which was somewhat bland, and I wished the portion size was larger, especially since it cost $19 for just a small piece of salmon. However, the baked oysters were quite tasty. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and really enjoyed it. The server was very friendly, but I noticed she wasn't wearing a mask, which I found concerning. We sat outside, so I can't comment on the interior. Overall, my experience was just okay.

Tonight was my second experience at Hickory Tavern. My first time was several years ago and I got drinks upstairs, all was well. We went tonight after tubing and we were pretty disappointed. My food was good but the portions are not very grand. One of my drinks was wrong (our server did go to correct it! and a few of my party 's orders were messed up too. My bill, for two drinks and a meal, was $35 before tip and it just seemed a little ridiculous for the product. We went because a friend of mine had a craving and he was let down as well. The venue is cool and the food can be good but it 's a gamble everytime. I 'm not willing to pay for 5 stars when that 's not near what I 'm getting... I h...

Went there for the taco crawl downtown place was really lively very crowded. The tacos were upstairs. The service upstairs was really great. The tacos were delicious. Decided to go downstairs and we went in and sat down. Tried to get a drink but that was very difficult. The waitress rolled her eyes and was very rude. They told us we needed to be set by hostess never came to seat us. When we ask the waitress a question she was kind of snappy and said she would get the hostess she sent over a black girl which I thought was kind of weird because she wasn't the hostess but maybe she thought she needed to send her because we were black and she went on to say the exact same thing that the other gi...
