"Yesterday evening, we celebrated a birthday at a charming "new" café in Georgetown. It was a delightful experience from start to finish. The hostess was lovely, our waiter Victor was attentive to our every need, and the owner even joined us at our table after dinner, making us feel like part of the family. We appreciated that we were given plenty of time to enjoy our drinks and have conversation before ordering our meals, establishing a sense of comfort right from the beginning. Victor expertly presented the evening's specials and we had a difficult time choosing from the many delicious menu options - a good reason to return in the future! The dishes were beautifully plated with seasonal ingredients and tasted as good as they looked. Victor was friendly and engaging throughout the meal, always with a smile and a touch of wit. The only suggestions we have for improvement are to lower the lighting level and add some tall plants for a more visually appealing ambiance. Overall, High Street Cafe is a fantastic addition to the dining scene in Georgetown and we highly recommend it."

Great spot to celebrate your birthday, corporate party or engagement. The service is great and so are the cocktails. Prices are fair and convenient for the location.

Perfect place for a brunch in Georgetown. Ambience was great as well, which is a plus! Best Huevos Rancheros I’ve ever had!! If you’re in the area, you should give this place a try!! View menu

Had a wonderful time here!! Definitely have to stop by here. Staff was amazing and friendly. The food was delicious and came out relatively quickly. Had a couple drinks with our brunch and those were very good as well!

Last night, we had a fantastic time at High Street Cafe. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the live music added to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience. The rockfish with butternut squash was particularly tasty, and the Spanish beer selection made it even more special.

Very friendly staff and delicious food! Had lunch with baby in a stroller and the staff was very attentive and offered to help multiple times. Their shrimp and grits are very good. Also had a great brunch experience here earlier, very good value for money. Great addition to Georgetown food scene, highly recommend! View menu

I must have eaten at a different restaurant than the people that wrote all of the people who wrote positive reviews. The food is mediocre at best and very overpriced. The pork chop for two, which was $45, was basically inedible because it was 98% fat. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to eat in Georgetown.

I have to tell you about this place!! I've been here twice and each time the staff has been extremely friendly and attentive! The carbonara they serve is the best I've ever had! I really can't recommend them enough. If you're in the area, you must visit. They didn't have a wine that was exactly to my liking, but they recommended a red and a rose that I know my friends would enjoy. I also want to give a special shout out to Daniela! She made me feel right at home and not like I was at a restaurant. She's friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and has great suggestions. If she recommends something, go for it!! Enjoy a delicious meal for me!! (Just a side note, I'm always up for a sweet/desser...

"I typically always forget to write google reviews but this place deserves every word I have to say. I found this spot because the luggage storage app, bounce, sent me here to hold my bags while I toured apartments for the day. Before I left my bags, I decided to try a quiche which was so much better than expected. Growing up in my father's deli, I tend to have high standards for most food because I can usually recognize good ingredients so safe to say I was definitely pleasantly surprised with my quiche. Around mid-day I fell walking around in NoMa and severely hurt my knee. Rather than continuing my tours for the day I decided to come back to pick up my bags and potentially go to the airport to arrive early for my flight. When I got to Old City Market and Oven, they actually gave me ice for my knee and let me sit downstairs uninterrupted. While I was downstairs the cashier told me to call the number in case I needed anything so they can come down and help because they didn't want me walking up the stairs for anything stupid. To say they were sweet was understatement, the level of care I received felt like I was in one of my dad's restuarants growing up which in my opinion is not something you see these days. I decided to have a pizza while I waited because another customer said it was amazing. Even though I was skeptical due to the paper menu, they really did their big one with that pear pizza. This spot really made my day and it makes me happy establishments at this tier still exist."

"For a special occasion, make a reservation at Michelin star Reverie, a small restaurant inside a Georgetown alley. If you 're lucky, you 'll meet Poppy the Alley Cat that is taken care of by the community, including by the staff at Reverie. My wife dined at Reverie on a Thursday evening. Here 's our experience. 1) Experience: It 's a Michelin star restaurant so expect superb service. It 's clear that the chef is passionate about his craft and his passion is contagious. Every staff member from our server to the chefs who brought out our food, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Throughout the stay, we were given wet towels to wash our hands in between snacks. Our water glasses were kept full. If we really loved a dish, our server would point out elements or teach us tips on how to use similar flavors at home. The journey begins with savory snacks and ends with sweet ones. Since the menu changes often, a copy of your dinner 's meu is given to you to take home at the end. It 's a perfect memento, especially if you 're celebrating something special. 2) Food: Reverie 's menu changes, but whatever you 're served will be innovative, fresh, and full of flavor. It 's also a tasting menu. When we went in May 2025, the menu included 17 different bites/dishes. The meal starts and ends with three small bites. The next nine dishes mainly included seafood and one was elk. Every dish is presented on a design-forward plate and came in full color and plated perfectly. A sign of a good restaurant is perfection in every dish and there wasn 't a bad one. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one, but our favorites were the Scallop, which comes in a fun sunchoke cracker sandwich, Hiramasa with juniper and caviar, and the Carolina Gold Rice. 3) Drink: Reverie 's drink menu comes with cocktails named after neighborhoods from around the world, wine, and other options. The Golden Gai is now my wife 's favorite Old Fashioned. She ordered two. For a sweeter refreshing cocktail, get the Old San Juan. For a refreshing, but sherry-forward cocktail, I recommend the Roma Notre. The dinner begins with chilled tea for all and it is very tasty. Savor it. At the end, you 'll have an opportunity to order more tea. Each blend is unique. I recommend any of it. 4) Price: It 's $245 a person for the tasting menu and additional prices for drinks, but for a quality dinner experience, it could be more expensive. We found it to be a fair price, especially for a special occasion. 5) Space: It 's beautiful! The design is not ornate, but rather simple, making it classy. There are two unisex restrooms in the back. When you sit down, you 're offered small stools to place your phones, belongings, etc. 6) Neighborhood: Inside an alley, there 's much to explore nearby from other top restaurants, cafes, and historic homes. We usually find street parking nearby by the Georgetown Waterfront Park. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
