"My girlfriend and I came here during the recent snow storm to step out of the cold and have a pre-valentines day date night. We were greeted by a very friendly woman who explained the menu to us. My girlfriend’s vegetarian and so having her take this time was extremely helpful. They had a nice variety of Asian food on the menu from dumplings to hot pot to noodle soups and Mongolian fare. We opted for a vegetarian noodle soup, a pork rib noodle soup, lamb skewers, vegetable dumplings (fried), bbq cauliflower, and Woodear mushroom salad. We wanted to try many things! The noodles for the soup were hand made in house by the chef and tasted super fresh with a nice thick rustic cut and good mouth chew. It went great with the pork broth. The dumplings were ok, not bad, not overly memorable. The the woodear mushroom salad was fresh and delicious kind of a similar taste to seaweed salad but with delicious earth flavor and crunch of the mushroom plus garlic. The bbq cauliflower was delicious it looked roasted with a dry rub seasoning. The skewers were also very tasty. Overall, we had a great experience with excellent service and the food was delicious."

This place is absolutely one of the most attractive restaurants in the area. Every time I visit this place I am extremely glad. They always keep their high level service and the topmost level of meals they offer. You always win with this place. Very recommended. View menu

I dined in the afternoon and had a wonderful experience. The steamed dumplings were light and delicately flavored. The barbecued corn was grilled to perfection with just the right amount of spice. The fried noodles with vegetables and egg were on the milder side, but the soy dipping sauce for the dumplings added the saltiness I was hoping for. A tip: use the hot chili oil sparingly. Overall, we will definitely be back!

The prices are affordable, and surprisingly, there was no wait even on a Saturday night. The restaurant features good lighting, but it can be somewhat echoey, which might make it less ideal for a first date. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I ordered a vermicelli salad, vegetable soup, kamb skewers, and a mango smoothie with tapioca pearls and strawberry bubbles. The lamb had a bit more fat than I prefer, and the smoothie had more of a crushed ice consistency instead of being smooth. On the positive side, the service was quick and friendly. I would definitely consider returning.

davis square is deeply lacking in east asian food options that are non japanese or overly expensive, so i was happy to find that hulun beir opened here. the meats were skillfully cooked soft but not undercooked whether it was the beef burger, the lamb kabobs, or the chicken pieces in the rockpot. the veggies and carbs were well prepared and complemented the meats well. my only complaint is that i found the food to be slightly on the salty side and not quite spicy enough. lastly, i highly recommend the mongolian milk tea; we had it sweetened (haven't tried it salty yet), and it's way better than the milk tea you would find at any bubble tea chain. "No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
