"no cakes can describe both how delicious and amazing and warm the service was. I found ikaros online as a place to go to my birthday and thabk got I did. I am from miami, where there are excellent Greek places and I had the pleasure of eating Greek food in Greece itself. I said patricia, our hostess who had the hands down, this mother and pop Greek place in baltimore had the best Greek eating outside Greece itself. that is not hyperbolic or exaggerated. we ordered many different mezes; filled grape leaves (dolmas) with a kind of bear sauce that has appeared above. the taramosalata was exquisite, one must. Our otopus was so delicate that it was practically buttery and full of taste. this plus her auberginensalat, sardinen in olive oil and pasticcio, which I had to go was absolute top chef quality eating. I said patricia, please, to convey to the chief, only our meal was exceptional. if all this was not enough when I arrived at learning to eat on my birthday, patricia surprised me secretly with a mini baklava cape with a candle and she sang together with others “happy birthday ”. This restaurant and his coworkers took me essentially as one of their own for a day, my birthday, and made me and my mother feel like family. I will never forget that this is not her warmth and generousness, and I mentioned the INCREDIBLE life!? I could go on, and I can only if I visit again only for the food and the attention and warmth of patricia, the chef and the staff of ikaros. I can proudly say that this Greek place in baltimore is one of the best places among the many I have been around the world, and ikaros can make his own to any restaurant, Greek and different. Many thanks once again patricia for such a wonderful birthday dinner!"

This is a wonderful authentic Greek restaurant, very traditional. The ambience is very homey, on Saturday night we had live Middle Eastern music being played very softly in the main dining room. The food and the wine were excellent, and the menu is extensive for all kinds of tastes. This restaurant is highly recommended!

This Past week My husband passed away and we had his luncheon after the funeral at Ikaros. Xenos was kind enough to open the restaurant, even though they?re closed on Tuesdays! The food was amazing and so was the service,I can?t find the words to thankXeno and his staff for the wonderful job they did! It was greatly appreciated!

Had a great experience here. The spanakopita was slightly oily but perfectly crispy/flaky with a great fresh filling. The lamb kabobs were juicy, flavorful, with a lemon sauce that wasn’t too heavy over the potatoes, and string beans cooked with tomatoes that were very tasty without being soggy. There was a bit of excess oil on the plate but very forgivable. The server Maria was very kind and friendly, gave great recommendations, and even provided me with complimentary baklava when I found out I had to leave early for a meeting. Will be coming again! I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The owner was very attentive and made sure we had a great meal. Our waiter, George, was also very attentive. The menu had a wonderful variety of foods, which was perfect for our group with different dietary restrictions. The crab cakes were the biggest, best priced, and most delicious I've ever had. The mousakka and grilled octopus were also fantastic. The salmon dish came with two large filets and the Greek white wine was outstanding. The desserts were wonderful as well. All of this was at a very reasonable price. We traveled from Northern Virginia just to eat at this restaurant and it was definitely worth it. I can't wait to come back the nex...

I cannot put into words how delicious and amazing the food was at Ikaros, as well as how warm the service was. I came across Ikaros online while searching for a place to celebrate my birthday, and I am so thankful that I did. Coming from Miami, where there are many excellent Greek restaurants, and having eaten Greek food in Greece itself, I can confidently say that this family-owned Greek restaurant in Baltimore has the best Greek food outside of Greece. We tried a variety of mezes, including stuffed grape leaves with a delicious sauce, exquisite Taramosalata, tender octopus with incredible flavor, eggplant salad, sardines in olive oil, and pasticcio that was Top Chef quality. Patricia, our...

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
