"We passed this restaurant a few times while strolling around Otranto old town. The decor and menu caught our eye, so we decided to try it for dinner. The food was good, informal and tasty! Lots of wine options! But it was badly let down by a rude staff member who slammed our drinks on the table, seemed angry when we asked for knifes and forks and spent her time time chatting to a table of her friends sitting next to us. We left feeling let very down by our dining choice. So many other wonderful places to choose from, we were disappointed we chose here."

"I've discovered Friggitoria Otranto with a friend of mine by wandering through the old city center of Otranto (UNESCO heritage since 2010), where the smell of fresh fried fish captured us. The location is small but cozy, and just right out the entrance of the Torre Matta. You can taste different kinds of fried fresh fishes as well as some typical fried antipasti (like pittule). Friggitoria Otranto is even offering an interesting selection of Salentinian craft beers. Don't hesitate to try Friggitoria Otranto if you are looking for typical street food made by fresh fish. The price (IMHO) is just a bit higher than other competitors, but this is due to the beautiful location. Nothing to say about portions: very generous. We spent EUR 33,50 for 1 antipast of fried pittule, 1 portion of fried sardine and 1 portion of fried paranza, and 2 craft beers of 33 cl."

"We didn’t have a reservation, and we were seated at one of a few tables around the side in a bit of a walk-through alley, across from the kitchen. Turned out to be a fine spot to sit, and we had a great evening. A bruschetta and an antipasti plate which we shared, was lots as the plate was quite large. For our main, we had an orecchiette and also a bream dorada shared both of these as well. Dessert of spumone. Our waiter was a great fellow."

"The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as I have struggled to find gluten free food . With unable to speak Italian they went out of their way to give me traditional Italian food that was GF . All the staff had lots of personality and made this meal such an experience for us . The meal was delicious and the view outstanding .
