"Update 9/12/24: After giving the new drive through change some time to maybe work out some kinks, I think I would clearly say now that the revisions are, in my observation, a complete failure. In the three evenings that I have visited since it debuted, I have had longer wait times than ever before, and I now get stuck in line after I have received my meal because someone in the line ahead of me has not. They took what was one of the agile delivery schemes that I have ever experienced at a fast foot chain (something to literally brag about), and turned it into an inconvenience. Not great. I don 't want to use an app to order my food. I want to drive by, think to myself, wow that sounds good for dinner, and have the exceptional experience I have come to expect. I believe that Chick-fil-A is the gold standard for quick service restaurants. Their food product is exceptional and their staff is typically well trained and courteous. However, the location and Derby Kansas recently reconfigured their drive-thru to have a dedicated mobile order lane. I am sure that this was an intentionally implemented inconvenience to try to encourage more mobile orders, but until that happens, it has turned their normally lightning fast drive-thru service into something much less amazing."
