My friends and I came in for dinner and drinks Friday night and our server Cassandra was amazing!! She was very calm, attentive, and nice during such a crazy night. We'll definitely be coming back and requesting her to be our server again!

Food was good but heavy on Sauces. Bronzino is usually baked with a heavy sea salt coating and not with sauce. Osso Buco is braised with veggies and a light wine and broth vs a thick sauce. Atmosphere was very nice with a picturesque view of the Lake

JB Hook's is very nice restaurant, with quite good seafood, at least for mid Missouri. Food is always well prepared. Staff are excellent. Just stopped in for gift certificates. Currently they have a deal around Christmas time, $125 gift certificates for $100. Quite a good deal. I have one of the best views of any restaurant at the Lake. View menu

We were there for the happy hour. It was self seating and you can get a view of the lake for just about any seat. Portions were more then expected and very tasty. next time we’re passing through we will be sure to try for dinner. It seems a very popular place so call in for a reservation. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. We didn’t have to wait long for anything and didn’t feel rushed.

Each entree was not consistent in flavor. There were some that tasted good, but they didn’t outweigh the other dishes that lacked flavor. Lobster and shrimp were overbooked. The drinks were amazing. Our waitress was great. She was very nice, patient, and considerate. The wait was very long, we arrived at 7pm and didn’t receive entrees until almost 9pm.
