"The food was decent, but it didn't quite measure up to the flavors at The Cupboard in Memphis. The fried catfish was overly greasy and could have benefited from a bit more salt or seasoning. The fries were similarly greasy. I had the fried catfish served with fries and coleslaw. We also sampled the roast beef with mashed potatoes, green beans, and cornbread, which turned out to be a better choice overall, although it still needed a touch more salt. The cornbread also seemed a bit stale. Despite these shortcomings, I would recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back to try other dishes."

"I visited this restaurant again after several months and ordered my usual: a grilled shrimp salad. Unfortunately, I noticed that the quality of the food has declined over the years compared to when they first opened. The reason for my long absence was primarily due to issues with their drinks. My entire group ordered top-shelf alcohol for our cocktails, but after tasting them, we realized we didn’t receive what we had ordered. I ended up feeling extremely ill and couldn’t even leave the parking lot before getting sick, and another guest had a similar experience. If you’ve ever made cocktails with cheaper versus higher-quality alcohol, you know how noticeable the difference in taste is and how quickly it can lead to intoxication. Overall, the food is decent for a small town, but I can't overlook the drink situation."

"The food at this restaurant is fairly decent, and the service is exceptional. The cornbread skillet they offer is absolutely delicious! The gumbo is surprisingly good for a casino setting. As a big fan of crab cakes, I was looking forward to trying theirs, but unfortunately, the ones we had during our visit a few weeks ago contained blue cheese and were accompanied by a horseradish sauce. This wasn't mentioned on the menu, or I would have avoided them. I was caught off guard by those flavors and found them quite unpalatable. When the server noticed I wasn't eating them, he promptly responded, and he brought over a woman I assumed was the manager. She kindly offered to remove the crab cakes from our bill, which I appreciated—great service! The other dishes we ordered were decent and typical of casino dining. If you're busy gambling and need a meal, this place is a reasonable option, but I suggest sticking to the sandwiches or the soup and salad."
