Best place in town for a sandwich. Burnt ends by the pound are great for football games.

Perhaps not the same experience as the original, but good food and fast service. No line!

Joes is always a hit with us! I love their version Carolina Pork sandwich. The spicy slaw is my favorite part such a a great tang and crunch to the pork. Perfection! Fast service and great food every time is so worth it!

The staff was nice and atmosphere was nice, especially that A/C, however my experience with the jumbo brisket sandwich was underwhelming. Felt like an expensive roast beef sandwich with not too much meat for being jumbo… usually I prefer thicker sliced brisket that’s a lot juicier. For $12 … eh. The slaw was good, but was $6.50 for a pretty small portion. Not too affordable.

We came to KC looking for delicious BBQ and we definitely found it! I had the Chicken Z sandwich and it was SO good!! They gave me a sample of the potato salad so I could try it (how nice was that?! and when I asked if pickles came with everything, he said “yes. Would you like extra pickles with your sandwich ?” I was just super impressed with the service, the food, and the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!! View menu

I've eaten here several times. The food is usually very good. We both had the Zmans. Brisket just a little tough but very good. What makes this place 5 stars for me is the young lady that works in the Carryout area. I think her name is Althena or Alpheena, something similar to that. She has the best attitude of anyone I have ever met in food service and dealing with the public. She is awesome, always kind, friendly and thoughtful. She definitely knows her job. Food service companies need more people like her. I'm sure you get a lot of compliments on her. She is definitely a keeper. We love her

The wait in the line was a bit annoying. One good thing is the menu is posted everywhere to include the QR code to familiarize yourself with the menu. Price was better than expected but that was without alcohol. We got the two specials for the day. Sausage was good, ribs were better and to top it off the pulled pork was my favorite. I opted for the spicy coleslaw and potato salad with an extra side of the baked beans. So good. Decided to have the banana pudding. Honest. Well worth the wait. First time to Kansas City and I wanted to try some of the best barbecue from the locals. The place that kept coming up was KC Joe’s barbecue. Walking in, you can smell the slow cooked barbecue and hear the roar of excitement from all the patrons already residing in the restaurant. Following the zigzag in the line, taking me by memorabilia, memories, and photos of the world famous barbecue. The cashier promptly recommended the Z man sandwich, and I politely obliged. Also added a site order of french fries and the mac cheese to go along with my sandwich. Food came up in about 2 to 3 minutes and the tray weighed at least 2 to 3 pounds.
