"I recently attended a luncheon at Joseph's and was incredibly impressed. I would highly recommend this venue for any type of function. It appears to have been specifically designed for events like the one I attended. Despite there being around 100-125 people in attendance, the layout of the space made it feel spacious and comfortable. The tables, food, and displays were arranged in a way that encouraged conversations among all different groups of people. The food was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The drinks were also delicious. Joseph's was very helpful in assisting the family with setting up and displaying numerous pictures around the venue. Situated just steps away from the beach (accessible by walking through a path in the dune grass), guests could enjoy views of the ocean from all the windows. Overall, it was a lovely event and the venue was perfect for all occasions, from weddings to birthday parties to funeral luncheons. I would highly recommend Joseph's for any type of party - you can't go wrong."

My husband and have been going to Joseph’s every year when we come for vacation. We were super disappointed at the quality of food that we got. We waited 45 minutes fir our entrees and his haddock was grey, overcooked and dry. My lobster/scallop dish was also over cooked and chewy. For what we paid, we’re super disappointed. The ambiance and our waitress were excellent, however the food needs serious help. Hopefully this gets better as we have loved this restaurant for years. View menu

While I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast based on this meal, dinner, not so much. Our waitress was attentive and provided excellent service. My wife and I had “the best of both worlds”, lobster and steak. The steak was cooked perfect to temp but the lobster did not taste fresh and there was only half a tale and half a claw. The Demi-glacé for the steak tasted fishy, like water had dropped from the lobster into it and this was consistent on both plates. Again, everyone was pleasant, nice and accommodating but for a nice dinner out my money is better spent elsewhere. I do though highly recommend them for breakfast.

This was our second visit to Joseph’s by the Sea. The first time we were up on the deck outside and it was quite breezy but yet very beautiful. This time we were inside and it was lovely because the doors opened up wide so we felt like we were still somehow outside but it wasn’t as windy. And it was only because I was dressed nicely with my hair done and that it was an issue. The ambience is lovely. The customer service is wonderful. It is very clean. The service is very fast. The drinks are wonderful. The prices are moderate but as everything else is inflated so are the prices here but what you get is Delightfully made food that you would never cook on your own.
