"My boyfriend asked me if there were any small diners in town as we drove through East Peoria. So, I pulled out my handy phone and went to Google: “small diners in East Peoria”. June’s was the first that popped up, with 300+ reviews and over 4 stars, it sounded promising and we liked their menu, so we drove over to check it out! I don’t usually try new places, but I’m glad I did. June’s is easy to spot with the flashing light board outside. Greeted when we came in, and told to pick a seat! They had a full house, which usually means happy customers! Menu had nice variety and breakfast here all day, but their hours are only 5 2p. Still not bad! The decor inside is cute, clean bathrooms with hot and cold water which are neatly taken care of. Great staff, food didn’t take long to make and it came out fresh and delicious! The gravy was a bit bland, but still good with a little added salt, and I just ate it with my skillet breakfast which was SO GOOD. Definitely makes me feel at home here, and seems to be kept busy by hungry, but satisfied customers! Our waitress, Virginia, was great! PLUS they have paper straws here! Awesome!"

This restaurant has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and offers delicious food! The cookies and gravy are simply the best! The portion of ham was nearly the size of the plate and incredibly tender! Our server was fantastic!

Ordered 2 fried eggs over easy and they were PERFECT! Yolks were runny and whites were done! Fried potatoes with onions were HOT and beautifully browned. (Could have been a little bigger helping...just saying! Toast with extra butter...GREAT! FAIR PRICE for GREAT FOOD!

This local spot is a must-visit! We really enjoyed the food and the coffee was excellent. Both the patrons and the staff followed proper mask protocols, which was reassuring. The Queen and I ordered the Papa Bear, but it turned out to be too much food for us; we should have opted for the Mama Bear instead. The staff was very friendly, making our experience even better. Fantastic country diner. Great scratch made food, great service and prices. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and American fries. Super tender hand breaded steak and perfect everything else. Take note they close at 2pm but do have breakfast available the whole time. Lunch menu looks great also but Im going to work on the breakfast stuff for the next few visits at least.

"I arrived at Jason's Deli after working out at the gym. I had worked up a decent appetite and ordered a tomato caprese sandwich with a potato salad. I waited over 20 minutes and didn't receive my order. It was absolutely the worst service I have ever received. The place was not busy at all, and they were staffed by what seemed an adequate number of staff members. The absolute apathy shown by the staff members made me feel like the last priority in what some would think is a customer oriented establishment. Management should have a serious inquiry into why customer service is so seriously lacking in such a highly overly priced place in the first place. The food finally arrived and I was able to type a novel. Hopefully it is worth the incredibly unnecessary wait time... Update: The caprese is cold. Thought it was supposed to be a hot sandwich but maybe my hopes are too high. Not as high as the $20+ tag on the meal, though, but I digress. Also, it had a strange, bitter taste to it, and barely had any pesto sauce on it at all, nothing like the advertised picture... The potato salad is very dry and doesn't seem very fresh. Honestly, I hope I don't get food poisoning... Post meal aftermath: This was my first time going to a Jason's Deli. In today's world of fast food Russian roulette where your prize is what poison you get to die from, I was hopeful that something new would usher in new and better options. Sadly, I have been thoroughly and utterly let down on every level from service and price to quality and experience. The second picture is of what is left of my meal. I should ask for a refund but I hope that my testimony of my experience will alert their management and ownership. Anyways, I won't be coming back unless they can seriously address some of these issues..."
