"Kantine has quickly become one of my favorite spots in San Francisco. This Scandinavian restaurant offers a diverse menu that includes everything from pastries to porridge bowls, along with customizable brunch options. During my first visit, I ordered the savory grain porridge, which features a delightful combination of three grains, asparagus, kale, and farmer's cheese. They also offer the option to add a runny egg and crispy bacon bits for an extra cost. I arrived with a voracious appetite and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size, which was certainly not a drawback! The porridge was outstanding—I never knew that asparagus and farmer's cheese could pair so well together. I also tried their yogurt bowl, not realizing how much food I was already getting. The yogurt was creamy, lightly sweet from the berry purée, and had a tangy kick from what I believe were sea buckthorns. I definitely need to learn more about these! Overall, Kantine is the perfect place for a casual bite or a more substantial meal, whether you're dining solo or enjoying the company of friends and family."

Great coffee , great vibe. The cappuccino was delicious, the chicken open sandwhich was nothing special and just chicken pieces in mayo on nice bread. I will have to come back and try something else as I think there is a lot of potential.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious. It's located on Market, but it's not busy or crowded outside. We enjoyed brunch and even took some pastries home. They have a great selection of wines and beers. The atmosphere was lively and the staff was very friendly.

Scandinavian breakfast is somehow both fresh, healthy and delicious. Too many choices to try in one seating. The fish pastes and homemade sausage are both packed with flavor and everything is tied together with earthy bread. Also finally a cardamom bun that doesn’t skimp on cardamom. Coffee could be better but still a strong five stars overall. View menu

Everything we tasted was absolutely delightful. The option to choose and customize various items for the brunch board added a fun twist to our meal. One of the staff recommended the ham and cheese sandwich, which was served in a generous portion. The bread was a crispy, croissant-like delight coated with various seeds—flaky and delicious! The grilled cheese and tomato soup came in a smaller portion, but I found it thoroughly enjoyable. There are seating options both indoors and outdoors, and you can serve yourself with water and utensils.

This adorable, clean, and well-lit brunch spot on Market Street, just west of Octavia, is a delightful find. I opted for the $16 option to choose five items, which included a variety of cheeses, pickled fish, delicious yogurt, buttery bread, perfectly soft scrambled eggs, and a coffee. Sitting at the window bar, enjoying the morning sun while watching the foot traffic outside, created a cozy atmosphere that was ideal for breakfast, especially on a chilly morning in San Francisco. I highly recommend this place and definitely plan to return to explore more of their mix-and-match brunch offerings.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
