"First time back since the pandemic started and honestly, you wouldn’t be able to tell there was ever anything wrong! Firstly, make reservations. We dd and it was a packed house. Table for in the main dining area. Great view of the city once the sun started to set. Staff was very attentive, especially since it was a birthday. The card was a nice touch The meat and cheese board was a great start along with the seafood platter. Not a huge fan of the crab cakes but, the ahi and shrimp were good Prime rib was great. Maybe not the same as Lawry’s or Crowns but, I would definitely recommend. The filets were okay. A little small for being But, was cooked a little too much Overall, the food was good and the service was better. That makes all the difference for me."

"I found this place on a Google search for Mexican restaurant with vegetarian options. The place did not disappoint me. It is Japanese and Mexican fusion cuisine done well. The have a great selection of Margaritas, definitely all should try their Margarita Flight. I had there habanero infused inferno and it was pretty good. The dirty fries are a good starter choice. The atmosphere and vibe of this place is really cool and service excellent. Planning to visit again. Five star fit the food, vibes, service and easy parking."

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience.My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments.While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature.The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff.On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"To start things off, the breakfast burritos are good. The reason I’m writing a negative review is because of the cashier. There’s two of them but the younger taller well-rounded girl is quite rude. I usually go in there for breakfast burritos. I’ve been attended by her 3 times and each time I’ve gone to pick up my order she basically throws it on the counter I can hear it hit the counter. Its a heavy burrito. It’s almost as if she’s throwing me food like a dog. She either needs training on how to handle food and customers or she needs to be replaced. The other cashier that works there doesn’t do that to my food. I’m about to eat this food that I purchased from your amazing restaurant, It’s a pet peeve when I see people treating my food that way. Why do I want to keep coming back and being treated the same way. Even though the food outweighs the service I don’t like being treated that way and I know one person not going to the restaurant is not going to make a difference but hopefully this review will be brought to the owners attention how she’s treating her customers or possibly just me I have no idea. As much as I want to keep spending my hard earned money on their delicious food, today’s the last burrito I’ve ever buy from them thanks to her unprofessionalism."

"My first time at Blake’s Place was an amazing experience. The atmosphere warm and inviting, getting greeted by most of the staff contributed to that feeling. The food was amazing Wavii made an awesome suggestion, a sliced beef brisket sandwich with onion rings. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and well spoken. I’ll be back to try more things he suggested. GO WAVII"
