"Always a yearly pleasure to visit this fine establishment. And the live jazz on the weekends is a nice touch to an already fantastic meal. I 've been frequenting the 'knick for nearly 14 years and see no signs of stopping. Id rather spend my money here than most steakhouses in NYC. A must try for steak lovers!"

One of the very best places to gather in the ambience of an old New York. Great food, service and comfortable seating.

The service was excellent, Philipe was attentive and informed. I ordered the Shell steak and my sister had the petite filet, both cooked perfectly. We will definitely return.

Always wonderful and the food keeps getting better and better. Best Caesar I think in the city (dressing should be sold separately! . And the annual Halloween decorations are a blast. View menu

Great food! Great prices! Great staff!. Non stuffy atmosphere like some other steak places looking at you Smith and wolensky) The knickerbocker is by far the best place to get great steak and a great souffle!

I haven't been to Knickerbocker in a couple of years. Very fortunately, the food, service and atmosphere are still sublime. It's a very welcoming place serving the best T-bone steaks I've ever had. And for the quality and experience, the price is reasonable.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
