"Not sure why this restaurant is described as having sizeable portions on Google. Maybe they used to serve more? Compared to some other Korean restaurants, they offer a paltry amount of meat for the price. Other than that, nothing tasted bad just unremarkable.Side dishes were delicious and a little too spicy for me not on the tongue, but I was sweating after a few minutes). We received kimchi, spicy cucumbers, tofu skins, spicy potato, and japchae.1) Eel in hot stone bowl bibimbap) For $23.99, I 'd expect more than a 3 by 2 inch piece of eel sliced into four slivers. It was one of the most expensive options in that section but based on the Yelp pictures other people have posted, I should have ordered one of the other meat options. 95% of the dish was rice and vegetables. Based on the pictures, I 'd expected around 40% rice, 45% vegetables, and 15% meat. We don 't usually order vegetables at restaurants because I cook pounds of it at home so ordering this was my mistake as well. I also ordered purple rice for $0.49 extra. Maybe its composition differs from white rice, but rather than being nicely browned and crispy on the bottom, it had become completely burnt and black. Egg drop soup it came with was tasteless couldn 't tell if it came in vegetable broth or just plain water.2) Ribeye beef $20.99)Just average meat but below average amount for the price. I 'd say the portion of meat here is indeed just right but when eating out, I 've come to expect a decent amount more for the same quality especially since we often take home leftovers). Came on a ~7 8 inch long stone plate. I distinctly recall some other places having lunch portions on a 10 11 inch long plate.Service was fast and friendly though no issues there."

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. They offer a wide variety of dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The broths, noodles, and meats are incredibly flavorful, and the side dishes are also delicious. It's great that you can adjust the spice levels to your liking. I highly recommend trying the veggie noodles, bibimbap, beef noodle soup, and chicken ramen. Overall, I rate the food 4 out of 5.

Brought a friend to eat out here yesterday. The food was fantastic. I got the tofu soup with the maximum spicy level and the servers there were very kind and inviting to us. The service was fantastic and they helped me get a photo for my scrapbook. The place is not as crowded on Saturday. We were lucky to get a seat by the window immediately. The restaurant is close to many dessert shops so be sure to grab a dessert after a good meal. Will definitely come back again!

This is by far the most underrated korean restaurant I have ever been to. There were tons of choices on the menu, and my family ordered a lot. I was extremely satisfied with all the authentic food, and the service was very efficient and friendly. The ambience was also very nice and spacious. Overall, I was happy with the experience and totally recommend it. Considering how the restaurant is usually quite packed, I was surprised at how few people there were. I hope their great service and food survives the pandemic!

RESTROOM 5/5 Clean SERVICE 5/5 Attentive FOOD 5/5 Superior This was our first time here and it definitely won't be our last. I always say that you can tell a lot about an establishment by how they maintain their restrooms. The restrooms were very clean and there was plenty of toilet paper, seat covers and paper towels. The server was extremely kind and let us know what his favorite foods were. The bibimbap was probably the best I ever had. I usually finish all of it and am still hungry. This bibimbap was huge and it was excellent. The side dishes were fresh and excellent. All of the food was top quality. View menu

Kong Tofu BBQ gave me an unsettle feeling at first. I went on a Sunday afternoon. The place was a bit crowded when I came so I thought the food was really good. Overall, I would say the food was good. But the service was not that great. The waiter that took our order had a bit of a attitude, and when we ask for some refills of our side dishes, she straight up, said no refill. Yet somehow later on, she came out with the same side dish for others. She was a bit rude, but maybe it was just her.The food was good. The tofu soup was the right spicy, and the ttbokki was super spicy. The ambience was nice. There was a line going through the door so lots of people enjoyed the place.

There was a significant decrease in quality during my visit today, I am not sure if it is a regular occurrence on Tuesdays. Many of the dishes we ordered lacked flavor, the fish roe was dry and old, and the rice was mushy. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years, so it was disappointing to see the prices double while the quality has decreased. In response to the owner's question, my visit was between 6-7:30pm on a Tuesday. I understand that there may be inflation, so I am not expecting prices to be the same as they were 10+ years ago. I should have taken pictures to show that there was not even a single piece of green onion in the soup, which was very different from previous experienc...

We chanced this restaurant because it was closing in under an hour. Despite that we still greeted cordially and seated immediately.Menu was simple to navigate and read over which was a nice change expediting our dining experience . Once we ordered the banchans arrived. Really enjoyed the flavorful kimchi and seaweed. Refills of that was generous and even offered us some to take home. Ordered beef ribeye, mackerel fish, ramen soup all tasty in their own way. I particularly enjoyed the mix purple rice! Bit sweet rice, wild rice and tasted almost nutty and healthy! Overall very satisfying dining experience .I like that the owners were still running the restaurant had the reminiscent of a feel g... View menu

Came here after looking for a place with spicy cold buckwheat noodles (I was really craving it). I remember coming here a couple years back and wondered why we never returned until now.The cold buckwheat noodles are great! Good portion of noodles with plenty of that delicious sauce. Sweet and spicy, topped pickled radish, cucumber, half an egg, and sesame seeds. I left satisfied. We also tried the seafood pancake, galbi, and seafood tofu soup. Seafood pancake was decent, as expected of a seafood pancake. The galbi seemed to lack flavor, as it wasn 't as salty or flavorful as it could 've been. The tofu soup also seemed a bit watered down. The service is good. The waitress was very kind, and a...

Upon entering, I was greeted by a mural of “E.K,” possibly an old classmate, which I thought was quite nice. The restaurant is much larger than I had expected from the outside. **Food:** The panchan (side dishes) were a delightful surprise; I counted broccoli, bean sprouts, noodles, kimchi, and radishes, all promptly refilled. I ordered the beef tofu soup, which was excellent and packed with plenty of tofu and beef. Unlike some places, they didn’t dilute the soup. **Service:** The service was outstanding. I'm not sure if refills on rice come with an additional charge (at many other places, I’ve been charged for it), but our friendly Korean server provided it free of charge, which was a lov...

"Dear Gyu-kaku, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to Gyu-kaku on October 7 at 8:00pm. While I have had positive experiences at your restaurant in the past, this particular visit left me extremely dissatisfied. Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated at a table that was clearly inadequate for my party's needs. We had made a reservation for 10 people, but the table provided could only accommodate 8. This immediately set the tone for our experience. To make matters worse, a waitress (not my main waitress) rushed us through the meal. She told us to put food to our places so she can have spaces to put more trays of meat. However, this is BBQ and the food just arrived within 5 mins. The meat hasn't even done yet to be edible. I asked her to set the trays at another table and we can grab them when we're done with our current plates. She said she couldn't do that and we must divide the food now so she could have spaces to set more trays. It was very reasonable to rush your customers through the meal. We're paying for our dinings. Gyu-kaku is a place to enjoy high quality Japenese food, and the service should uphold the standards of its high quality, not this rude and unprofessionalism. I value the dining experiences I have had at Gyu-kaku in the past, which is why I am particularly disappointed by this recent visit. I believe that the issues I have outlined above do not align with the high standards I have come to expect from your establishment."

"I was craving Persian food badly specifically wanting a beef kabab kobideh rice plate. I googled restaurants nearby that I could stop by for dinner. I saw Stone Stew Grill and Bar among the list of restaurants in the area. I 've heard of the place before, and I remember it being recommended by one of my close Persian friends. My fiancé and I arrived at Stone Stew around 8pm on a Saturday night. We were dressed for a casual sitdown, but when we peaked through the window we saw that everyone was dressed to the nines. We reluctantly walked in, but we were warmly welcomed and led to an upstairs dining area. We realized that the bottom floor was reserved for a surprise party, which was wild by the way! We sat back, enjoyed the music (DJ was spinning traditional Persian party music), and watched the bottom floor get lit. Overall customer service was great. The food came out quickly, and our server was great. He was so nice, helpful, and attentive. We ordered a couple of entrees to share. Obviously the beef kabab kobideh with rice was a must. Since we were at Stone Stew, I figured we might as well try the Vakil Abad Mashhad Stone Stew. I heard it also being referred to as Dizi. If you ask me, nothing beats home cooked Persian food, but Stone Stew hit the spot! Everything tasted flavorful and amazing. The kobideh was exactly how I expected it to be, so I was highly satisfied. The Dizi was completely new to me, and we both were pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. We mashed the garbanzo beans, potatoes, and stewed meat, which made for a comforting, rich soup."
